I got 4 times as many hours out of Borderlands than Fallout 3, so I guess Borderlands?

I'd go for New Vegas' Ultimate Edition honestly. After I played it, Fallout 3 was just a game I used to know.
you didn't have to use V.A.T., you hoe..

Now my body is just flying pieces that you used to blow...

Now and then I think of all the times I blew guts over.
But had me thinking my stealth boy was gone..

But I don't wanna play that way. You promised VATS would shoot straight, gay, I think that you should let it go, cause you'll never become better if you don't play right, you fool you know!
haha touche, I think I concede in this Gotye Freestyle

Orange Mocha Frappuccinos, anyone?

Fallout 3 provides much more content and is moddable to continue adding to it.

It's the purchase that I think you'll get the most bang for your buck from.

I'd say Fallout 3. Borderlands bored me way too much, and it's single player is one of the few games I've yet to complete. If you have friends willing to play it with you then Borderlands is a good choice, but for more money's worth I'd go Fallout.

Borderlands just made me want to play Fallout 3. That's pretty much all I have to say about Borderlands.

Fallout 3 has the Rock-it Launcher, which is my favourite gun in any game ever. The Rock-it Launcher is one of the deadliest guns in the game, its ammo might as well be infinite, and it's hilarious to use. I was actually upset when I learned that it wasn't in New Vegas.

neither, get fallout new vegas, way better then fallout 3.
yes, New Vegas may not be as moody as 3 (particularly for me since I much prefer destroyed cities)
but New Vegas was just better on anything else than the setting
that and the oh so awesome DLC

speaking of
get Borderlands OP
it's great and the DLC is a string of pure glory, aside from Mad Moxxi's

Both great games (in very different ways despite seeming quite similar) but Fallout 3 is one of the greatest games ever in my opinion, whereas Borderlands is just a really great game...
Get Fallout 3, you won't regret it... you can always get borderlands some other time, but you really do need to play Fallout 3

Borderlands if you can play with friends.

Fallout 3 if not. Although honestly New vegas was better than 3.

Ive put 190 hours into borderlands, 120 hours into NV, and 20 hours into FO3. And honestly im amazed that i even put 20 hours into FO3. The world is better than NV and all, but dear lord combat is so dull and boring.

Fallout 3.

Because the ending of Borderlands takes away all the fun and enjoyment you had had up until that point.

In case anyone was wondering, I bought New Vegas, for £5.99. I guess I didn't spot the non-Ultimate edition earlier, I didn't want to pay that much because I'm cheap like that. I'm missing out on the DLC, but I'll think about getting it next year when my next student loan instalment comes in. Your tax pennies, going to good use.

Fallout 3. I never really could get into the first Borderlands. Probably because until a recent playthrough with a friend did I get past Fyrestone, and at that point I didn't really care about most of the quests we were doing.

Make sure you look up how to change the menu mouse sensitivity on the internet, or you'll go mad, maaaaad!
