Yep. I don't have the money for one of them newfangled flatscreens. Heck, the TV I have I got for free as well! Most of my TVs have been given to me... Doesn't matter really, as the newest console I have is the Wii and I haven't turned on my TV to watch actual television in... a year? Maybe more?

I'd like to get a PS3 now that the PS4 is out and I might be able to snag one second-hand cheap, but then I think of my crappy telly and think what's the point?

Not in the last ten or so years, no.

Come to think of it, i haven't even seen one in the last 5 years.

Nope, got rid of mine 5 years ago. Playing HD games on it was horrendous, so shortly after getting my PS3 I felt I had to get a better TV. I've been very happy with it ever since. They're really not that expensive anymore, so I see little reason for people to keep torturing themselves with a CRT.

Got a HD TV last Christmas as my SD TV broke down during the year (just wouldn't turn on, no warning signs at all) and I was borrowing one off my granddad till I was able to get a new one. its also hooked up to my PC so I can PC game on a 42inch screen in an arm chair. casual Civ5 with a pizza ftw.

Yes, in fact my family has four of them that we use regularly. It's mostly because newer TVs are expensive and we never have a lot of extra cash just lying around. That and we'd then have to move the older TVs again(just moved about a month ago) and those fuckers are heavy.

Had an old one ever since I started gaming with the PS 1, and even had my PS 2 hooked up to it; I had my Xbox and Xbox 360 connected to it until I got an AV cable so I could use an old computer monitor with the 360. I bought a 19" HDTV about a year ago and love it - have my 360 and my PS 2 connected. Never going back.

If the tube on mine hadn't blown out a little over a year ago I would probably still be using one. I don't really have a great need for HD, but I will admit that lack of SD support made playing some games damn near impossible. I'm still not sure what 50% of the plot and instructions were in Dead Rising because I couldn't read the text.

Really "using" it would be an overstatement. I have a 23" CRT in my room which I use every now and then to play games on my most recent console, a Gamecube. Oh, and I have a VCR and a DVD player hooked up to it too, both of which I use even less than my Cube.

I have a more recent, standard sized SDTV which I use for pretty much everything, consoles, DVDs, I don't really use it for TV, though, the reception in the area where I go to uni is still god awful for digital TV, and I've just kind of got used to watching stuff on bbc iplayer and the like. I guess I'd like to switch to HD, but I've heard it's difficult to hook up old consoles to them, so I'd probably try to keep an SDTV handy for as long as possible.

I still technically own one, but I left it behind when I moved in July, and it hadn't been turned on in over a year at that point. Hulu, Amazon, and Steam have pretty much obliterated any need for a television set I might have.

I do and not any plans to change. It works just fine, no problems that I see, so why change? An HD TV will not give me something that I need, so changing would be vanity and falling into the programmed obsolecence of things, so I will keep my TV until it breaks or is rendered useless by other means.

I still am stuck with one and haven't upgraded because I don't have the room for 2 TV's and since I regularly play the 3 old consoles I own (NES, N64, & PS2) and using an hd tv would cause lag on them I have held out on upgrading.

The SD I use for my console gaming is a wonderful piece of work we've had since at least 2000. She's not the highest graphics nor the cleanest pictures, but for playing some Smash Bros and other Wii games with friends, watching movies, and other television based shenanigans, she works wonderfully.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Nope. Got rid of ours when we moved out over five years ago. Couldn't be bothered chucking it away(damn thing was huge), so we gave it to the movers. Had a few smaller ones in the attict that I threw away just a few weeks ago. They hadn't been used in at least four years though. Quit with those when I got myself a 360.

No, I computer. I miss SDTVs though, they were the business. When you threw one out the window, you could be sure it would ruin somebody's car roof instead of just disintegrating on the journey down. Solid tech.

Found one that worked perfectly fine in the back alley a year or two ago. Still use it. It's a good TV.
