Poll: Stop it with the zombies!

I want people to stop making Zombie games. not entirely, like Capcom Keep doing your....Thing? But i want zombie games to mostly stop. Dead Island and Dead Rising (2, and OTR) were all exceptional games and i'd love to see more games like that, but let's move away from zombies. There are so many other things that could be used, The Locust from the Gears trilogy was a good idea. Why not something like that, or the Chimera(?), or just have zombies as a bit in between lke Uncharted or Half life did. There are so many other things i could be shooting saws or bullets at. Mutants, Insects, Aliens, Combine, Robots, Cyborgs. The list keeps going.. and going... and going. What genres i'd like to see more of are things like Saints Row games where you play as the VILLIAN (even though everyone's basically evil for some reason) or Portal where you solve puzzles and only kill turrets.

What kind of monster do you want to see instead of Zombies?

(i made a quote in those post AS A JOKE about fighting Nazi's being racist because i'm german. No one seems to understand IT'S A JOKE.) That is all.

People. More specifically, people with good AI in an apocalypse setting. I'd love for it to be a first generation apocalypse, where the majority of the population saw the world end and you can find things that tell you that your enemies used to be normal people.

How about...Australian...aboriginals...fighting back against the British empire or Native Americans fighting "Americans" or A.K.A settlers. I don't know I want a the whipping boys to win against the big bad Europeans.

I hated The Flood in the Halo series...the reason Reach is my favorite (other than being able to dress as a pink space-marine-cyborg) is the fact that there isn't a single Flood of any form!

I would replace zombies with the other kind of zombie: SKELETONS!!

Most western gamers are of "European" descent, and Eastern gamers are not too concerned about the plight of aboriginal peoples. So as cool as that sounds, it just ain't gonna happen.

Personally I enjoy my enemies to be people, and enjoy history. It could anything from the Hundred Years War to the War on Terror. I would love to have any digital replication of a real battlefield. None of those fictional battles of the USA vs USSR though...

Personally, I love zombies, and I don't mind there being so many games that have them. I agree, the saturation of zombies is a bit much, but I personally don't tire of it. I think what we need is the open-world zombie survival game that we all want but still haven't gotten. At least that.

I like killing zombies, but I think fighting robots would be a fun thing to do.
