Poll: Sub-Dub

Okay, If your watching, or playing, anything in foreign(Anime, spanish shows, passion of the christ), do you like subtitles or it do be dubbed, even really, really badly? I normally prefer subtitles, but I can see reasons for dubs. Please voice opinions.

I will say; Cowboy Bebop, DBZ, and Trigun got wonderful dubs

You look me in the computer screen and tell me that Godzilla's awful dubbing wasn't half the fun.
Other than that, I like subtitles.

I prefer subtitles. A lot of dub jobs sound like they're just there to get the pay check. Not to mention getting just the wrong voices for characters. Check out BASTARD to see what I mean.

Sub-a-dub-dub

I have no preference, really. The only situation that I'll take subtitles over dubbed voices are if the english voice actors sound like they really didn't care as they were recording (previously mentioned: Love Hina).

What's funny is that for all I know, they might not have cared in the original Japanese either. I don't understand the language and therefore can't understand what inflection was put on what words.

Subtitles all the way... but thats just me hating al the "spanish" guys (from spain) that make the "Dubs" of almost every anime i have seing not released in Mexico (FX, in Spain Son-Gohan is called "son-goanda" in spain... uuugh)

and since i want to learn Japanese, sub animes help a lot to catch phraces and learn some basics, i can understand about halve of what is being said in your regular anime series so yeah hehe
