Do you put subtitles on when playing games or watching movies?

Sometimes. Usually only when I start noticing I can't understand due to poor accents/mumbling, or sound quality/mixing.

I usually do just to make it easier. Sometimes I miss words when it's only on audio and I don't find any distraction from the scene behind it.

I do that for the same reason. Sometimes (mostly in films) characters speak quietly or whisper

I always have them on, I'm not really sure why, but I do.

I only use them in RPG's. Even in action RPG's like Mass Effect. Don't know why, they detract from the cinematic experience. Maybe I should turn them off from now on...

Always. I spent a good deal of time with my grandmother when I was young and she was deaf as a post, God rest her, so she always had captions on. I kinda just picked it up after time. It's the same reason that I need a TV on to fall asleep.
