Nobody mentioned Pit?

Seriously, like every one of his moves reflects shit. And the flying, so annoying!.

I enjoyed this sarcasm greatly. Well played sir.

I think Metaknight is. Then again I don't play Brawl a lot, it's not great. The item inbalance is worse - the Final Smash is just silly as is the Dragoon and Spicy Curry.
I hate the dragoon, it kills in one hit and is a pain to collect. Like when i get 2 pieces and a comp gets 1. It takes me to deliver a beating to get that one piece whereas that comp hits me once and i lose both. I don't even know how that works. The Fact that the game has basically just become a one hit kill fest is just a bore. Almost anything can KO anyone instantly (i exaggerate, but you get the point) This, and the fact that the games pace has been slowed down immensely is why i feel it is not as good as Melee, despite the great amount of features.

OT-Ike or metaknight, Ike is raw power whereas MK is speed (or as i call it, harassing my opponents) I hate how link was so badly toned down for this game, i kicked ass with him.

I hate the dragoon more than anything, bar the Subspace Emissary which was 8 and a half hours of solid boredom. And yeah, I had that same problem too - they tap me and I lose the piece yet I smash his fucking head in and it only drops after I KO him. And cause I play against the hardest AI they almost never miss with the Dragoon...in the end I just get pissed off and turn the items off.

And yeah, Link kicked arse in Melee, which was a much better game. It was just more fun than Brawl...although four-player brawls are way too random for my liking - I prefer one on one.

At least you only turn the items off... I just the game off and leave it for weeks until someone comes over who is a wii lover.

I put Snake down for a few reasons but the main reason that annoys the living heck out of me is as follows, DISJOINTED HIT BOXES. Nothing more frustrating to me than visibly dodging an attack and still getting hit for it, its pure fail and has turn me off smash bros til the next one comes out. Now as one can see from these:

Snake might not be the most OP char but hes definitely the most broken, you know unless the sight of Snakes crotch causes chars physical damage.

@thurmer- ow, that is very bad. It should be fixed by next ssb hopefully. (although, they said they would get rid of all clones for ssbb. maybe not.)

axlr4- all caps= annoying. This is the second thread I have seen you do this. Please calm down. And if you are going to use profanity, at least spell it right.

I guess you could say that any character is OP, because pretty much the only strategy I've seen anyone use in Brawl is to be as cheap as possible.

But on topic, Sonic is the most OP because of his final smash attack. As far as regular fighting, Diddy Kong and Pikachu are the most OP; once you figure out their strategy (which is pretty much the same exact combo every singly time), it's like an instant kill. I'd say Lucas and Olimar are just below them. Olimar's fighting style is just very very different, and Lucas' attacks are way too powerful for how fast he can attack.

They all fly too eays in Brawl. In Melee, when you fought a bowser, you had to rely on speed to deal enough damage to knock him off with a smash hit. In Brawl it's pretty much the same as on eof the medium-characters like Link or Samus.

I'd say metaknight, but thats because my friend just uses the bloody spinny-attac all the damned time. Snake is my favorite though.
Yeah, with meta knight, the B button becomes an easy win button. Also his down smash is the fastest attack in the game.

I would really like to get more into this, but not too many people here seem to be tournament players.

I say Meta Knight when there is no smash balls involved and Sonic when there is.

Meta Knight actually can combo and can hit pretty hard, all of his moves are very useful and he is swift and cunning. Also that twister ability can literally kill anyone, just using that move if your good.

Sonic is pretty weak compared to most characters, however he can move quicker than anybody else which gives him the upper hand at breaking the ball. Also his Super is just to powerful, the people who say they can dodge it obviously hasn't versed someone that can hold it perfectly on you.

I personally think Ike is the most overpowered character in Brawl. All of his moves have the ability to send you halfway across the fucking screen regardless of how much damage you have. Most friends and strangers I play against in Brawl use Ike, and that pisses me off.

I, myself, use Snake. When you get the hang of his moves, Snake can counter almost any character in the game. I have beaten many an arrogant Ike player with Snake's excellent bag of tricks.

Ike is definitely a game-breaker in the right hands, but I'm good enough with Link and Fox to beat most players (that I play with) with him fairly quick.

Psh... none of those. Sure Ike is the strongest character, but his lack of variety and very situational recovery moves leave him a tad wanting. He's a very fun character to play, but I certainly wouldn't bother if I really wanted to win.

I think Diddy Kong is the most overpowered character, or possibly Kirby. Both of those characters have a lot of variety in their move set and multiple deadly tricks you can exploit. Even still, they aren't an incredible amount more powerful than the other characters. The power band in this game is pleasantly narrow (except for a couple of the bottom-tier characters).

i dont even wn to answer this. yes, ike and dedede have powerful forward smashes, so does bowser. thats because theyre effing SLOW.i think captain falcon made this list for the people who have been on the receiving end of a quadruple or reverse knee several times, or just suck bad enough to get cornered by a falcon punch. as for sonic, it depends: without final smashes, hes worthless. with them, i agree its a bit frustrating, but if you know what youre doing you can actually avoid the entire thing, i know because ive DONE IT. snake isnt overpowered, hes just a heavyweight, hard to learn to use and stuffed full of projectiles. wolf's smash actually isnt bad. falcos is not very much weaker hit per hit and lasts a hell of a lot longer. and why the hell are toon link, donkey kong and meta knight even ON this list?

None are cheap or over powered. The best player can always overcome the people being cheap. So in short. If you call something overpowered, YOU need to get better at the game. The only exception I have found to this rule is that whole Marth/Lucas chain grabbing bollocks.

There's nothing you can do to stop yourself from dying, but it's more broken design than broken characters and is one of the reasons I despise Brawl as a comepetitive fighter.
