How do you feel about sushi? I personally love it! I dont understand how someone cannot absolutley love sushi.
So my question to you is how do you feel about sushi? If you don't like it, explain. If you do like it, tell us your favorite roll.

I have nothing against raw fish. In fact, raw spiced salmon (rawpickled salmon?) is one of my favourite foods.

But sushi... the fillings/spices just do not seem to agree with me. Not bad as such, but not a favourite of mine either.

I've only ever had Sushi twice. The first time it was quite good, the second time I had to spit it out. Go figure.

I've never tried it, but once my friends imprisoned me in one of their houses until I tried sushi, and I had to leave for a doctor's appointment. There was a struggle, but I never gave in. They still call me "sushi kid" whenever I act like a picky eater.

I went and ate sushi just last night! We had all soughts of stuff, from Peaking duck, to salmon and tuna nigiri, wagyu steak tataki, eel and cream cheese (I know who woulda thunked it! tasty though). All of this and more washed down with warm sake and ocha...

...To sum up I LOVE SUSHI!!!!!!!!

That's nothing to be proud of.
I'm well aware of that.

I like sushi, I think more often than not it makes a tasty treat.
However, some people are overly obsessed with it. I know some people who have to have a roll or two every other day, if not they are grumpy and whine.
Also, a lot of the packaged stuff is pure garbage, the only good stuff I've found is from an actual sushi bar/ restaurant but most places charge way too much for a slice of fish and rice.

One of my favorite food groupings. Ever.

As for favorite type...I really want to say kappa maki or tamago sashimi. Just so I can be a smug asshole and point out that it's rice that makes sushi, not fish.

If I were honest, though...

<color=red>TORO!

There should be no dispute about this. Toro is godly. It's fucking ambrosia. Unbelievable texture, awesome flavor, melts in your mouth...

Even when it's available, it's really expensive, though, so I tend to go with either tuna or salmon sashimi as a preference.

Sushi =/= raw fish. Sushi is rice (key ingredient) combined with various bits such as, but not limited to, vegetables, meats and/or eggs. Sashimi = raw fish and can be the meat added to sushi.

Sushi is awesome. I actually didn't think I would like it until my wife introduced me to a well made sushi roll. I'd always seen the pre-packaged crap in the supermarket and sneered at it. Serves me right for making a judgement based off of anything pre-packaged.
