I'm bothered about it, but only because my dad is one of the pencil pushers who make plans to stop the country grinding to a halt whilst everyone is ill. Right now he has daily mettings (yes, even on Monday which was a bank holiday), and he's getting even more stressed out. And he really doesn't need that right now.

It's a potentially big deal. The only real reason I care about it is because it's relevant to my university course. This is a brilliant revision aid because it's exactly what I'm studying. Virology FTW!

Its overhyped, really. Just like SARS and the bird flu. People die from flu every year and sometimes they catch humanity by surprize. That doesnt mean this break out shouldnt be taken seriously and im glad to see that around the world people are taking measurements to stop the spread.

The Swine Flu has thus proven it is killing LESS people then the regular influenza, which can rack up 36,000 head shots in North America every year.

Same. Especscially where I live (England), where we have a good enough health care to take care of this situation.

If I get swine fu now, i'll be better equipped to fight it later in the winter. Also, if i get it now and miss my exams i'll get marked based on my coursework/previous exams which are good. Give me swine flu people!
