Well PERSONALLY I'd sell the console+games and invest the money in my PC if anything X3. And should I buy a console I'd go for a Wii, mostly because it's a good party piece and the PS3 and Xbox are not...

I'd even suggest you spend the money from the Xbox sale at a Wii rather than a PS3 (possibly just wait for the new Wii U?). My roomie has a PS3, I've been playing with it some and watching him play. I still feel the PC is a better option for the type of games he has for the thing, the only decent party game he has is Super Powered Acrobatic Rocketpowered Battlecars (YEAH!).

Hope you have fun regardless Oo. And I also feel the Xbox controller is MUCH better than the PS one, I have an Xbox controller for my PC to play games that don't work so well with a keyboard mouse (mostly console ports).

I own both, I play the PS3 more. Just has more games that fit my taste.

I should note my 360 isn't hooked to the internet, my TV is on the other side of the house and I didn't want to spend the money for that overpriced wireless adapter. I did go to the effort one day of stealing the ethernet cable from our PC and hooking the 360 to it in the interest of quickly downloading Basion. Had to jump through some flaming hoops, Xbox live wouldn't take my credit card or paypal account, I finally gave up and still haven't played Bastion...

In that respect I can absolutely say Sony takes your money in a much more efficient manner.

Also give Journey I try, if people haven't already listed it.
You should get the newest indie bundle if you want Bastion.

As for getting the OP, go for it. You have no idea whether the next gen console will be backwards compatible with the games you listed.
I have often thought about playing Bastion on Steam, or even Chrome, unfortunately my little laptop is so pathetic it can't even handle the game (I've tried) so the 360 was my only option, unless I buy a new computer, a possibility since this thing is at the end of it's rope.

Had my PS3 pretty much since release not been disappointed yet, its not broken or caused me any significant problems. The original shiny PS3's are a damn sexy console compared to the 360. The only problem worth mentioning was the PSN crash but I got two awasome games out of that free so no complaints.

I'll still say grab a 3DO, or even better yet, a Dreamcast.

I've had more fun with those two systems recently than anything in this gen.
What? You mean you are playing those right now? Or you mean you used to have fun on them?

Because, shit, I'd just recommend a SNES in that case. Best console I ever owned.

OP: Might as well go for it. This generation is coming to a close and it sounds like you played all the Xbox games you wanted. Might as well get in those PS3 exclusives before they ask us all to go buy new $500 systems.

Or, you know, upgrade your PC ;)

I highly support getting a PS3...but if it means trading in your Xbox I wouldn't go for it. You might find you miss Xbox games or the system later.

Sir, I find your opinion of people with neutral opinions insulting.

Good day.

[sub]You clearly already made your choice before you started this thread, anyway.[/sub]

I went from 360 to PS3 over three years ago when I realised that it had way better exclusives(the silence of the console was a huge plus as well) and I can't say I've looked back ever since.
Love my PS3. <3
The grass is greener over here aint it? xD

OT: I got my PS3 because MGS4 and preference of hardware and not paying for online gaming. Overall from your post I'd say you want the PS3, so if you can afford it, go for it, it's a great piece of hardware and it's pretty versatile too beyond just gaming, best DVD player I've ever owned simply on the grounds it doesn't fuck around (120x fast forward yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay).

Great exclusives, runs quiet, if you choose to get PS+ they've just started giving away proper BD titles like motorstorm apocalypse on + so it's all good on PS3. Also, updates aren't that often, just saying, once every few months is fine though if it's a big one it's annoying/

Sounds like you are going through the same problem I was going through a few years back. Back then all I had was a 360, and it was a time before Microsoft had re-re-re-re-released the 360 to fix the RROD issues, and I was sick of replacing my 360 after the 4th RROD.

I opted out for a PC upgrade, and I was much happier with my decision.

A short time later, I decided to get a PS3.

^It was right then that I realized, that the 360 doesn't offer much exclusives. Halo? Gears of War? Not exactly deal-breakers for me. Whatever the 360 has that isn't on PS3, is usually available on PC. 360 is the more "western" console, and I believe PC gaming is largely western as well. So naturally there's a lot of overlap between the two because of that.

So the PS3 offered more things I didn't have access to with a PC, and had quite a bit of interest in. And the PSN store had tons more things I wanted as well. Blu ray is a nice plus too.

I now own a 360, again. The only reason I got it was to play with friends who don't own a PS3 or a gaming PC. A grand majority of my console games are on PS3, with just a few multiplayer games on 360.

The games you listed are all worth playing even with the other console gen allegedly getting closer to arriving. Either way, you might be happier with a PS3 than a 360 - but I would try to hang on to your 360 too if possible, just to have it in case it will come out with something you'd want. Best of both worlds, they say.
