People of the Internet, give me your voices !

Syndicate reboot. Is it worth trying, is it worth investing money, is it better than expected and so on. Also... If you're feeling like it, please provide some additional input, opinions - you know the drill.

Thank you all very much. :)

The demo gave me a good impression and i loved Deus Ex HR.
The reviews are pretty solid, but i'm waiting for a pricedrop.
I'm done buying on day one for titles that are not on my MUST list.

Worth Trying, but for a reduced price.

Bought it yeterday, So far so good. It's pretty complex (gameplay wise) for a First person shooter, there's quite a lot to keep track of and you've got a lot of tools at your disposal besides point and shoot.

I haven't tried the Co-Op yet, so no opinion on that.

One thing that does annoy me, though, is the Bloom. I've heard of people complaining about bloom in games before, and I've never seen it as a problem myself, but good fucking god there is an absurd amount of bloom in this game. There have been times where I have straight up not been able to see shit because 90% of my field of view is fucking bloom.

I just beat the game like 10 minutes ago.

The gameplay is fun and challenging (The boss fights especially) but the story is barely there. It was also a bit short. I beat it on Normal in about 8 hours give or take.

Co-op is fun, I haven't played much of it, but I imagine it can get repetitive since the enemy spawns aren't randomized and there are only 9 levels (So far, hope they release more as DLC). A Versus mode would have been welcome but then they would have had to implement an online pass.

I'd suggest waiting until it drops down to around $40-30.

If you like modern spoon deep shooters then it's worth half price, if you don't then borrow it from a friend and laugh at the blandness (it's what I did).
I found it incredibly boring because it is a dead center casual shooter formula, but if you like chewing wall paper paste this is the game for you.

Only thing that stands out is your character, he seem to be made of jello.
Your input only loosely translates into how the guy on screen moves, mostly he just wiggles about as he pleases.
Also character pivot point and camera aren't lined up, so as you turn the camera will end up in a different place each time... it's probably just really hard to fix the camera on a gelatine man.

Also waiting for a price drop here, I'm extremely interested in this as I'm looking for a new FPS.

Syndicate basically falls into yet-another-shooter territory. Nothing whatsoever to make it stand out from the pack. It attempts to implement some unique mechanics, but they boil down to pressing the 'use' button on enemies before shooting them.

The level design is iffy and the writing is the usual video game crap.

Admittedly, I haven't played the co-op, but I've heard decent things about it.

I'd say if you want it just wait 'till the price goes down. It's really not worth the day-one asking price.

If you want a decent game in the meantime, get Deus Ex Human Revolution. It does everything Syndicate does, but better, and then it does a whole lot of things Syndicate couldn't dream of.
