Does anyone hear play anything like Warhammer 40k or Warmachine? I ask because I don't think I've ever heard anything similar mentioned on these forums.

I used to play 40K but I was more into Necromunda and Hero Quest if anything, much cheaper.

Necromunda! :D that's a name i haven't heard in a while. My and a few buddies used to play when we didn't feel like playing warhammer that day. And yeah, way expensive, I only just dusted mine off because my game design major girlfrind's into class was working on making a tabletop/boardgame and i though it'd be cool to show her. Turns out there is a huge club of people here who play, so i guess i get to make more use of my old Space Wolves.

WWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OT: Wish I did, I like almost all the races in both 40K and Fantasy, but the first models I made were ugly, my hands shake too bad to paint those tiny things.

I used to play Warhammer 40k. Started off with Tau and then moved to Chaos Space Marines (Chaos Undivided). Was planning on getting back into it with Tomb Kings, though.

Like I said i didn't play alot of 40K but when I did I played with my Blood Angels. As for Necromunda I pretty much played with all the gangs but Redemptionists were my favourite by far. I remember me and my Counsin having a legendary gng fight Grudge match, I was playing Redemptionists and he was Scavvies. At the end there were like 3 people standing out of like 24 lol.

I like painting, but I'm one of those "paint to play" types. A ton of people just go unpainted, but i think very little as far as games go is cooler than a fully painted army set on the table before a match.

I play Tabletop RPGs--GURPS is my game of choice, but I'll play mostly anything (though I'm not a big fan of D&D mechanics). But I haven't played any of the tabletop miniature wargames like Warhammer.

I used.....man what were they names. The more tech advanced ones....well either way. I though necromunda was built around a brilliant system. I just wish i got to play more.

used to. it got too nerdy, too time intensive especially too expensive for the amount of time I had.

Also I just was not very good at painting. Got depressing after a while.

Spess Mehrines FTW!

Or for those who haven't played Dawn of War, that means I play 40k (Space Marines, of course).

I was planning on building a Space Wolves army for 40k after playing Necromunda and a few scattered 40k games with friend's armies but I decided against it. I have enough expensive hobbies as it is.

Although I have a box full of painting supplies and I often paint miniatures for my friends D&D Campaigns.

I play WH40K. I have Black Templars.
Sadly I don't have any friends to play with me at a regular basis :(

If I say "tasty looking planet" what do you think I'm talking about? What's going on inside the hive mind of my army of course. :3 Worst with playing a huge horde army like Ttyranids is to glue and paint all the units though. D:

A good deal of my friends and I play 40k. I play Tyranids , but I have friends who play Orks, Tau, Dark Eldar, Eldar, Space Marines, Chaos Space Marines, and Imperial Guard.

I have two massive armies for the Orcs in both Fantasy Warhammer and 40K. They are a bit redundant now that my brother and I have grown tired of it now, but i still enjoy reading White Dwarf.

I wish I could get into these tabletop games. But getting into it now seems like a bad idea. (Since i don't have a job yet to pay for the supplies needed. Also: no one around my school plays it.)
