Not 100% sure I'm reading this right, are you saying that you deliberatly cause problems for female players in rpgs for a few cheap laughs?

The only people I'll ever victimise are people who are being utter tools.
No, not deliberately out of malice. I've played a wide range of characters with differing personalities. However, regardless of the personality that I've chosen, there's always one party member who has a personality that clashed with my char. Even when I warn players of how my PC is going to act, they still create these polar opposite characters, and I've noticed that its usually the women players who have the PC that clashes.

It tends to lead to comical, as well as serious situations; sometimes by their actions, and sometimes by my own. But both parties are well aware of how things might turn out, so both come out of it with a laugh and a decent bit of entertainment as we butt heads.

Sorry if it sounded like I was being a sadist earlier. I just didn't have enough time to go into great detail.

I do not care if the person I just shot is a guy or a girl. The only people I purposefully target are those who are being complete dicks in the first place.

I don't focus fire on the female, but if she is being loud and obnoxious, then I will. But that goes for any /b/tard, 12 year old, or 35 year old basement dweller.

I'd ike to point out that unless you are playing LAN there's little way to tell what gender, race, religion, geographic location, or sexual prefrence a person actually has. Even with mics, it can be a hard call. If it's a LAN party it's likley to be people you know, and you're more likely to target one of them for reasons unrelated to their demographic. That being said, I'm pretty dure most people just shoot what's in front of them.

I do most my gaming online now... and play by the rule: If in doubt, it is a male. So I automatic assume that 90% of all female characters online are in fact played by males and more often then not I am correct, if I even find out.

Even so I would have no reason to target a female in a game any more then a male. It isn't as if they have super natural powers or get a bonus by having breasts, in character or out. No I am too practical when it comes to games, hitting them first only if they are playing a class that is vital to the enemies success or are doing the most damage to my side.

Though to be fair females tend to be more skilled, on average, at most games requiring hand and eye coordination. This means there is a likely hood I am targeting females more then males and just not knowing it. But... I feel most gamers are like me, and we really don't think 'is this a female' when we are mowing them down with a mini gun.

I use to be constantly picked out in games, so my partner and all his mates use to get them back. After game reactions were usually quite aggressive since the other team didn't like getting their arses handed to them. One of our mates actually ended up with a review of 100% aggressive just because he used to stick up for me all the time. Mind you, we are talking about Halo 3 before they re-introduced party chat. No game I have found has been worse than Halo 3 for this kind of behaviour.
