Please tell me that I am not alone to think that intelligence is sexy in a woman. Pretty much anybody got at least once this discussion about what they find sexy and what is not. Well, I've had that kind of discussion quite often with a lot of people, and I've never heard any man say that clever women are sexy (they didn't say that is was a turn off, just that they don't seem to care - at all). I'm not talking about geek archetypes or school nerds. But there are so many really beautiful woman that, as soon as they open their mouth, they sound so distubingly stupid that it turns me off almost completely. Thse girls sound desperate for attention, and simply does what they've been told by MTV and other nonsense. However, a woman making herself attractive and knowing why she is doing so, now THAT makes my head spin

The problem goes even farther, with loads of people thinking that if a girl is having an active sex life, she must be dumb. Personally, I can't see the correlation with enjoying the best thing on Earth as much as possible and being unable to have intelligent thoughts.

Guys, does any of you share my frustration that most males seem they could not care less about what's in the gals' head? And to the girls here, what are your thoughts on the matter?

Different things for different people, I suppose. If someone is very stupid it does put you off them a lot.

Personally I fall in love with any girl that shows me the slightest bit of interest...

Meh. If she's not moronic beyond reckoning or possessed of illogical and loudly espoused opinions it's no biggie for me. I don't count on meeting an intellectual equal, especially not one I'm compatible with, so waiting for that will leave me quite alone indeed. Indeed, there is to life than intellectual pursuit.

It depends on if you're looking for a relationship or just want to get your rocks off. I'd like to think most people prefer their equal, you know? But it depends on the situation, too. If I was going to a bar for the sole reason of picking up a girl, it would be a lot easier to get the stupid girl drunk and woo her with a few idiotic lines then it would be to have to have a real conversation with the smart one to get in her pants.

Then, you have the smart girls that are just really, really wanting it, and these girls will tell YOU outright what they're looking for, and probably kick your butt to the curb in the AM. This is the boss level.

Different people have different standards for what constitutes "intelligence," but personally, I prefer someone who is knowledgeable in the same fields I am intrested in.

Intelligence is good, but not necessarily the traditional academic intelligence. But personally I wouldn't really like them to be more intelligent than me, it may sound sexist, but its certainly not something that I would want/, though if they were, then so be it.

I can't imagine how sexual attraction (I'm assuming that's what we're discussing considering the use of the word "sexy") has anything to do with intelligence.
Intelligence is very important to me if I'm looking to spend my life with someone, but I find it very easy to think someone is sexy without them showing any sign of how high their IQ may or may not be.
Think of it this way, are you going to be brainstorming theories, debating topics or having a discussion of any kind during sexual intercourse? I know I don't. I think you're likely the odd one out if intelligence springs to mind at any point during sex.

There are times when it seems easier for a girl to play dumb than act intelligent.

Women that act dumb might get made fun of more often, but there isn't much that is expected of them whereas people have higher expectations for intelligent women and seem to judge them a lot more (the same argument could be said for men, but it doesn't seem to be quite as common) because of it.

*shrug* I prefer someone who is a bit of both. Intelligent so we can have a serious discussion, but can have some real dumb-ass moments that we can both laugh over and joke about.

It's really important for me for a girl to be smart. I like a girl who can argue with me intelligently and someone i can relate my thought to so it's a must for me. I usually have bad luck with that though every girl I date isn't that smart maybe there a coincidence there XD

I dont care about intellegence im not that pretentious, I dont care if shes shit at maths, knows fuck all about politics or finances or worldly affairs or computers Im not that smart a guy myself. What matters ot me is that I can enjoy that persons company, I can enjoy the time spent together and know im with with someone I love and a friend and thats the real rarity in this world that im still looking for who gives a shit about IQ its meaningless by comparison.

I'm sexually attracted to intelligent women because it means that they know WHY they'd flirt with you. It gives more meaning to all they do to allure somebody. That also means that she knows what she wants, and has probably the curiosity to venture into more variety than missionary, doggystyle and cowgirl.
