Poll: TES Online: What race will you play?

If and i do mean IF i play this it will most likely be a Dunmer, they are always my go to race and i love them, however an alliance with Argonnia... not sure if i can stomach that

I would love to play a Bosmer, although I'm very wary about the ESS since I don't want to pay for subscription models and the inclusion of hotkeys in combat is annoying.

One thing that always puts me off the ESS universe is how assholeishly racist all the races are. Men hate Elves, Elves hate men, Argonions enslave Khajhit and Dunmer, and Everyone hates the Orcs. It just seems that none of the races are nice people.

Nord. Preferably a 2-handed warrior. Why? Because I need inspiration for my next LARP character who will be a Nord berserker from Skyrim. (the larp I go to is very open to any universe as long as it's medieval/fantasy.)

You seem to have that backwards.

Argonians dont enslave anyone, and the Dunmer enslave the Khajiit and Argonians.

Since Redguard was my favorite Elder Scrolls game as a kid (and since I spent most of Daggerfall in Hammerfell), Redguards are usually my go to race. I do also enjoy Dunmer and Orcs, though, So I might try one of those instead. It will depend on my mood when I get the game.

Assuming the game is any good and not just a WoW clone like TOR, I'll be a wood elf. My current playthrough is an elf and Ive been enjoying it sofar.

But I haven't decided what class I'm going to play, because it's been noted that no matter my race, I'm always an archer of some sort.

I never understood that. What part of a game being like another make it bad? It's like PlayStation all stars what ever what ever. Yeah it's an SSBB clone. Why dose that make it bad? Is SSBB bad? Or in this case is WoW bad? Hell Saint's Row two, is praised for being a GTA clone.

Anyway likely Dunmer.

Generally I don't mind clones if their done right. I however don't like how stiff WoW/TOR etc are, I dont like hitting 1 to fire a weapon I like to play properly with jumping running etc not stand there and wag a stick. Elder scrolls especially wouldn't feel right playing like that, and thus wouldn't feel like an elder scrolls game (esp after skyrim).

STO, Eve online, Planetside 2 I love those MMOs that don't have the stiff feel of WoW. It's just personal preference/playstyle I'm guessing.

Bretons are always my main and favourite characters, so definitely a Breton. I love playing as a Restoration-based Mage, and having magicka resistance is not something to be missed lightly.

TESO is basically free-range fighting, including first person gameplay, and doesn't use hot keys other than to quickly switch items and such (like using a potion in the middle of a fight, since you can't pause). It also features a class system that defines powers only, and doesn't shoehorn you into particular gameplay styles (so you can still be a healer even if you haven't selected the main healing class). So no worries for you there!

If you're wanting the best archer race, you'd be best with a Bosmer (wood elf) as the best archers in Tamriel. It doesn't ultimately matter though, since you can do and be anything no matter the race. Mostly I'm just thinking of adding numbers to the Aldmeri Dominion, since it's probably going to be the smallest faction. Possibly anyway, they do have the Khajiit at least.

PSASBR isn't bad because it's a smash clone, it's bad because it's a poorly made game.

I voted for Nord, but most likely I will end up as the Argonian, mainly because of EQ and EQ2, no matter what, I have a special place in my heart for reptiles that will never be broken.
