I personaly want the option to have hard-core mode. It would make the game so much more immersive if you had to hunt for food in nordish tundra to survive as you treked between cities. Also I would like the extra challenge.

what do you think?

*Edit* Just to be clear I would like hardcore mode simialr to NV but not the same. I think that there is actually a mod of TES IV that does sometihng akin to this.

Only if hardcore mode actually works properly.

In FO:NV, it was just a bunch of numbers I had to keep down, it was more of an annoyance. I'd like the chance to actually sit down for a meal in an inn or cook my meals over a campfire, actually see my character take water from a river in a skin and actually see them drink from it.

no no no GOD no.

it was cool in NV but that's just not something i really want to see in any TES game. lets stick to swords, spells, and DRAGON SHOUTS (even just typing it i can only assume that its going to be fucking sweeeeet)

NO! It would take away part of the Elder Scrolls appeal...ya know.
What the appeal of being an overpowered demi-god who crushes guards like flies?
Also at least it would give food more value

It doesn't bother me at all if they put it in, as long as it's just a mode, cause I don't want to play it. The fun of the Elder Scrolls games (as well as the Fallout games) for me was not in the challenge, but in the exploration, and since a hardcore mode would only make exploration more difficult I don't want to play it.

Like I said, it's no skin off my back if they include it, I just don't want it to be the only option.

Well, hardcore mode in New Vegas wasn't anything special but, yeah, why not? Its not like you have to play on it.

Now there's a question that answers itself. The appeal of being an overpowered demi-god who crushes guards like flies is in being an overpowered demi-god who crushes guards like flies. I don't go to an Elder Scrolls game cause I'm dying for a challenge, I go to an Elder Scrolls game cause I want to explore, loot, and just screw around. If I want to struggle to survive, I'll move to Africa.

Wasn't it almost completely pointless in NV?
This. If they make it very interesting and very challenging sure. But if they just make me have to drink water every now and then, no thx. And there should be a reward of somekind, not a cheat or a god item or a retarded achiv, just something cool.

I'm perfectly happy that they would put it in for other people,

but I despise all of those kinds of modes, they are more of an annoyance to me than anything

I voted maybe, as the survival mode fits better the wasteland than aa fantasy setting.

Maybe. I know I would not use it, but there are probably others who would appreciate the option. So, yeah, I don't really care if they include it or not.

Thus creating a choice alchemy or food? Do I make poison or eat?

I'll have to say maybe. Could be a good idea ,could be horrific depending how it would've been implemented.

No; TES isn't about survival in the remnants of civilisation.

I'd prefer them to make the core mechanics work well, and do everything they've promised, than add features that won't really do much for the game.
