Religion or no that man was wearing a large hood that concealed his face, which is against store policy because security cameras can't see his face and identify him on cctv should he commit a crime. Being part of a religion dosent excuse you from the law or the laws of a shop. Period.
Then how come the Muslim woman was left alone?
Probably because Britian is so afraid of offending religious people that they let it slide. I hate my country sometimes. What would happen if she stole something or pulled out a gun, shot someone and then ran away? CCTV wouldn't be able to help.

I don't Jedi is a religon
unfortunately it technically is. enough people put it as a religon in a census for it to count as one, so it counts, even if it is complete bullcrap.

although these guys seem to be taking it waaaaaayyy too seriously.
and of course, it could only happen in wales

"Way to distract from real news Mr. Newspaper"

I honestly doubt they banned him just for wearing a robe.

when I was 18 me and my mates have stumbled around a 24 hour Tesco twisted trying to find marshmallow pop tarts and rashers to make the "worlds greatest hangover cure" and we were politely asked to leave. There must be a history here.

As for the religion thing. I know people think Jedi's making an ironic point making it a religion but when you think about it it's childish and pathetic.

(I'm aware of the irony of those two sentences)

You get several cookies for hitting the metaphorical nail squarely on it's head.

Bah, I think it's ridiculous that he actually thinks of himself as following the Jedi faith but whatever. Anyway, no, they should not have thrown him out even so. Otherwise they'd need to throw out anybody wearing a cross, any women wearing burkhas and whatnot as well.

Jedi religion? In England? Seriously, I know there are some morons in the UK but this is ridiculous even by our countries standards.

Note: I know it's supposed to be a joke but it's a very unfunny one.

But it is ok for a few billion people to be Christians or Muslim and believe what they want?

Just because less people follow it, doesn't mean it's wrong.

Haha this is completely silly. The world doesn't need anymore religions along these lines.
I am all for believing what you wish...but come on, you at least KNOW this one is false.

Really, the guys a four star bell end, since it is for all intensive purposes a made up religion, i.e made up by the utter nut balls who have a serious issue separating so so written sci fi western from the real word that means their ARE no actual laws or rules to dictate the religions behaviour beyond what technically was in the movies.

I have seen all 6 movies and I can't remember the scene were Obi-wan said act like a dick end and wear your Jedi man cowl all the time. If he is citing religious bigotry on the part of Tesco then it is because he has made up the rule that he has to wear the hood all the time in which case the guy is more pathetic than... well someone who follows a religion based off some so so movies.

Why do we as a society give these vacuous nothings the time of day. Fuck off and crawl back under whatever rock it is you spend most of the time jerking your lightsaber under.

Meh.

The Jedi on the census thing was a fun joke so that it had to appear on the form. No need to be an idiot about it, and I can't believe someone on here compared Jedi to Muslims - the people in the store probably weren't in on the JOKE and if this guy was taking it seriously then he's an idiot.

Religions aren't based around much fact (if any) but this guy's just being an idiot.

Love the comment from the spokesperson by the way.

You're wrong. Whilst I don't agree with any religion, Jedi is different from the ones you've listed.

Religions are/ were used as ground laws/ rules to control their society i.e. thou shall not steal, etc.

Jedi was born out of a film - a form of entertainment. Jedi was used a part of a narrative and outside of the SW universe it serves no purpose but to emphasis that there are some seriously retarded fanboys out there.
