I feel your pain man. The town I live in is far from classy, I expect to see christmas decorations within the next 2 weeks.

Christmas stuff started coming out at the beginning of August here (NE England)

Personally, 12 days before Christmas and then they all go down again 12 days after Christmas.

Not months before Halloweeen, or just after Easter.

Mid-November for Christmas crap, early December for the music. If I start hearing Christmas music before Hallowe'en like I did last year I'm gonna f-ckin' snap!

I'd be perfectly happy with November, but any time before that is getting a bit silly.

Shops should start sorting shit out mid november, people should be getting it late november/start of december. No eariler, I saw a shop selling advent calendars today, my second thought was "fuck off it's september" (my first thought was "OMG Top Gear advent calendar with Stig facts!!!!111)

Loads of pubs and restaurants have displays advertising their Xmas meals but I've not seen any real decorations yet.

However I love mince pies so I applaud Tesco's for putting them out this early.

Oh it starts right after Halloween in this country, sometimes earlier. Yes it gets quite annoying. I think people should wait until at least mid November to put out the Xmas stuff.
Nothing like starting the Christmas Music loop mid-October. Joys of an over commercialized holiday.
Yup, every year without miss, the xmas songs go on and dont stop until the final sale ends.
i just cant wait to go to the mall now!!!!
ughhh,i think it should begin at mid, november too, just early enough to get ready.
cant wait to see whats gonna be the rush of death item this year though.

It should be around mid November when the Christmas stuff starts getting put out, although there is that one shop in London that sells Christmas stuff all year round

Do you have one of those stupid new badges that says "I like dancing" or whatever they allow you to put on them?
Also what's the worst example of this you have seen in your area?
Our Xmas stuff went out on September 1st.

At Asda, they've got Christmas wrapping paper and Mistletoe chocolates. I completely understand your plight.

Christmas should not begin until the day after thanksgiving.

PERIOD.

Black friday should be a poll option.

I think the issue is simple: People currently need to start purchasing gifts and stockpiling stuff this early due to "the Christmas rush". Or, at least, marketing executives think so.

I do think it is ridiculous however. Wait until after Halloween, when the pies might actually last until Christmas, and you're not losing seasonal marketing space.

That effectively is early December... but I do agree, cuz for most that is when it starts.

Mid November is a good start. But you know what would be even better? If they didn't gut the holiday for what it means and turn it into a massive consumer fest. I expect a few fatalities during Black Friday.

Anyway for those who keep your decorations up, if it's something small like a string of lights that doesn't draw attention and can easily go unnoticed then I'd understand as it's a pain to take them down. But if it's a giant Santa sign then take it down. It should be down the day after Boxing Day at the very latest.

South Park Movie
Thats a pretty easy one though. Its almost a given. Most of these youngsters were probably in 2nd or 3rd grade when that movie came out though

*edit, changed grades and not the endings lol
