so its news now that Doug Walker is retiring his character Nostalgia Critic, and moving on to bigger and better things for TGWTG

I think this is good, NC has been stale for a while and by the sounds it seems like moving on is what he wants to do right now

but anyway, that's not my main topic

I noticed that some people see this as the end for TGWTG, the impression I get is that NC was the only show they watched there, or the only one out of a couple

so essentially what I am asking is [b/]what shows did you watch on TGWTG besides Nostalga Critic?[/b]

I know theres alot of them on there who (quite frankly) arent that great in terms of quality, but honestly Nostalga critic wasn't the best show on there IMO at least by the time he decided to call it quits

essentailly I'm also saying that certain shows *cough* [i/]brows held high, Todd in the shadows, Nostalga Chick[/i]*cough* I think deserve a little more recognition

(I can't fit all of them on the poll unfortunatly)

Spoony. But then he left. Also Linkara at times.
I remember checking out most of the other people but never really liked them.

spoony, until he left, then i watched him ojn his own website, still wishes he would drop that whole story thing, but even then hes still pretty good.

The NC is retiring? Shame, one of the few consistently good things there. Not very funny, but there's been a lot of other people that start out great but soon really, really lose steam, the NC is always at least sorta watchable.

I liked Lupa, sometines the NChick, and the odd PUR let's play, maybe odd bits and pieces of others.

Oh, and the poll only allows one response, so it's not that useful here.

Filmbrain/Projector occasionally.
PAW has some cool stuff, too.

It also really depends on what any one contributor is covering at that moment. I sometimes might check out Cinema Snob if he's reviewing something that interests me.

My favourite on TGWTG? Hmmmm....
I'd say Linkara but I really don't like his storyline sedgements.
Spoony? Nah, he's left.
Cinema Snob? I tend to watch his stuff on his own site really and even then only occasionally.
Film Brain? A good choice but I think I've got someone better in mind

Nope, my current favorite goes to the one who handles films ranging from A Serbian Film to Roberto Benigni's Pinocchio:

Ralph Oancitizen's: Brows Held High

Todd In The Shadows, Rap Critic, Angry Joe, occasionally Sage, I used to watch Phelous, but couldn't tell you why I stopped. I've started watching the Blockbuster Buster. I almost didn't due to the ridiculous name, but he's alright.

My relationship with that site began with The Distressed Watcher and ended with him. If anyone's scratching their heads at that comment, you might recognize his other handle: The Amazing Atheist. He had a brief stint at TGWTG before management changed and he had issues with them. His vids were pretty good though: he did a nice analysis about why Palpatine was the best-acted character of the Star Wars prequels, and why the Hero characters don't work in those films.

Nostaliga Critic.
That's it.

Though I haven't watched him in almost a year until the other day, then I find he's done with the project.

I'd say I watch Todd more than anything else nowadays. I don't even like "good" pop music that much, he's just hilarious. Linkara's a close second, again, talking about something I don't really like/know much about and yet making it both accessible and entertaining.

Also, Linkara is the only man ever to give me feels for a cardboard box. Y'all know what I'm talking about.

I actually watch pretty much everything on the site though. I think the only things I don't watch are some of the more serious videogame series, the anniversary specials, and the stuff about musicals. I struggle to think of a single reviewer on there who I've always hated. Sure, some have had lows and reviews I don't like, but on the flipside, they've all had reviews I did like.

I think the only one I hated completely is Lotus Prince. I had a bad feeling from the name alone that this was gonna be someone who thinks they're far more interesting than they actually are, and when I started watching, I found him to be, quite frankly, boring. Reviewers don't have to be constantly funny to hold my attention, JesuOtaku being a case in point, but his stuff just seems to be him going on about something for an extended period of time.

huh?....wha?

Jesuotaku is a girl....I like "analysis/talking about stuff/reveiws" (its kind of hard to describe really) so she's good just to learn about Anime since I don't watch that much of it

Todd in the Shadows, Rap Critic, and Y Ruler of Time. I should get around watching some of JesuOtaku, Paw, and Sage's stuff. Tried to watch Angry Joe's videos, but he is just dull.

EDIT:

I think "his" was referring to Lotus Prince, not JO.

No, when I was referring to "him" I meant Lotus Prince. JesuOtaku is interesting.

Well, I watched Nostalgia Critic and Spoony on there, but since Spoony ain't even on there and Doug has stopped makin' Nostalgia Critic, I don't really have that much of a reason to be on TGWTG. If something new and intresting catches my attention, could that perhaps bring back my attention for the site. But at the moment I don't visit the site at all.
