While I am open to any type of music out there, if I had to choose one, I'd side with good 'ol rock n' roll.

I always wondered, what do you suppose Classical music was called 300 years ago?
"Classical" actually has its own genres like Baroque, Classical, Neo-Classicism, Renaissance, Romanticism, etc. One of the reasons I dislike the term "Classical" is because I don't like Classical music. I find it rather dry and boring, too much emphasis on technical skill. I find Baroque and Romanticism to be much more interesting. 300 years ago, Classical music didn't exist yet.

On topic: I would side with whomever was going to win.

Hip-hop head until the end of my days. But like Chris Rock said, trying to defend it nowadays is a *****.

Still waiting on my fighting game with a hip-hop inspired soundtrack.
Wouldn't that be any of the Def Jam games then?

I throw my hat in the ring for Electronic music. I do listen to rock and a little bit of metal, but the bulk of my music library is of the electronic kind.
Like I said to another, I don't qualify the Def Jam games as fighters, not in the conventional sense anyway. I mean that I want an original soundtrack that's hip-hop/rap inspired. Something more along the lines of this:

Hip Hop. I believe they have the most guns.
I disagree. Ted Nugent has more by himself than the entire Hip Hop community. Also, Rockers who have guns are actually able to aim them. (Protip: Holding it sideways doesn't work.)

You never hear about people being killed by a stray bullet when a rocker shoots someone. They all find their mark.
Yeah... you're right. Kurt Kobain didn't miss, though I still wouldn't like to be on that team.
I said "rocker", not "morose inept guitarist whose name we know because he happened to be in the same band as Dave Grohl".

What? It's much more likley that people know Dave Grohl because he was in the same band as Kurt Cobain than the other way round...

Yes, because his involvement with 80% of all good hard rock since the dissolution of Nirvana just screams "hack".

I thought Nirvana was incredibly overrated, but I think a pretty good case could be made for the Foo Fighters being underrated. Let's not forget his work with Queens of the Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails, Them Damn Vultures, Prodigy, Tenacious D, and Eagles of Death Metal.

Oh, and he knows how to play his instrument. Cobain was, to put it generously, an average guitarist and a mediocre vocalist. Cobain's excellent abilities as a poet don't make him a better musician than Grohl, who is technically superior to Cobain at both guitar and vocals. He's also an excellent drummer and a pretty decent pianist. BTW, Grohl had an awful lot of co-writing credits for the lyrics on Nirvana's tracks, so even that part of Cobain's legacy are somewhat in question to me.

tl;dr Cobain's remembered so fondly primarily because he offed himself young. He was part of an influential band, but Grohl has left him in the dust in the years since his death.

Edit: Nirvana toiled in obscurity for four years before Grohl joined. He joined the band and they became one of the biggest bands in the world overnight. There was something magic about the group, not the frontman.

Why are Metal and Rock seperate options? They are blood brothers and have an allegiance that will never falter! You cannot ask me to choose between them-I will sooner perish in the battle then abandon one.

Oh, forgot to mention:

The police care when rockers get shot. Unlike Biggie and 2Pac.

Also, rockers usually didn't deserve it.
