Poll: The Beach

I hate the beach and heres why in no particular order:
1. Kids, i hate them even when they SHUT THE FUCK UP so the beach is not a good place.

2. Sand, it gets everywhere and turns all your towels into sandpaper. Not comfortable.

3. The Sea, pretty awesome but not for swimming, there is a reason people don't put salt into hotel/private swimming pools, it's disgusting.

4. STUFF LIVES IN THE SEA, once again even though people say they love the sea i dont see them rushing to add jellyfish, crabs, or in extreme cases sharks to pools.(Although maybe its not so bad, it could be a solution to point 1)

5. Underwater rocks, those things fucking hurt a lot when you stub your toe on them and thanks to salt water it just gets worse.

6. People have and always will act like the sea is a rubbish tip, anything goes in and comes out all over you.

7. Picnics on the beach are up there with the most senseless things i have ever seen anyone do, including jump out a 3rd story window. They suffer from every one of the above points, except maybe underwater rocks.

Yeah so thats it; my review of the beach, kinda realised its a rant but there you go.

They are alright, if you find a decent one, without excessive numbers of people.

Most awesome beach I have been to by far is Whitehaven Beach, in the whitsunday islands (part of Australia). 6km of awesome, other then the stingrays.

Australian beaches are the best except for the jellyfish, sharks, swimming knifes and the murderous intent of most animals there.

Not really fond of the sunlight. I have white delicate skin and too much sun can be bad for me. xD I get sunburn pretty easily, even with sunblock. I prefer the night to be honest. Even if I didn't get sunburn easily.

I live about 100 feet from the water so I'm bored of the beach. And i have a pool so i only go to the beach for the chicks.

No, I hate the beach. It's nice for looks 'n all, but the sand getting everywhere annoys the shit out of me. Usually I don't mind getting dirty (anymore), but sand is just proper annoying to have in your clothes.

I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for empty beaches with gray skies and choppy water. I grew up in Galveston. Those were my favorite days to walk on the beach. I haven't been to a beach yet that I have enjoyed as much.

The beach is a lovely place, when it's completely empty.

A nice beach in Donegal, with the sun beating down and no one there, swimming in the blue of the Atlantic ocean. Ahhh, paradise.

I'm with this guy, got a holiday home in Donegal, I love going to the beach in the summer (not the winter as it's feckin' miserable, Republic of Ireland, what are you gonna do?), especially the beach nearest the house, about 15 minutes walk, there's a beached old ship there, loved crawling around in that when I was a kid.

I haven't been back to do anything but build the house in years though, now that the thing's finished I might see if I can get a gathering together. I do miss swimming.
