While I do love the beach, in Australia they do seem to be filled with things designed to kill you. Sharks, jellyfish, swimming knives, you name it.
Jelly baby for the reference.
Better than beaches in Britain and Ireland, though.

It does bother me slightly that I've become some entrenched in science that I'm more likely to refer to sand as SiO2 than "sand".

I find all the scantily-clad women more taunting than anything else. I prefer to sit in my dark room fully clothed and sulk.

I like the beach in winter when it's nice and quiet. I don't like it in the summer because it's hot, sunny, and filled with loud people. I prefer the "beaches" up north because they're more like cliffs then anything.

I love the beach. I love living near the coast in general (especially since the east Pacific doesn't get hurricanes).

That's the thing, no matter how hot it is on the beach, it's always cooler than the heat sink that is San Diego's east county. And prettier, too, but that's beside the point.

It's okay on the days where the sky is grey and there's a fine mist in the air, the sand is still wet and packed together from the tide going out and there's no wind. I prefer the beach at that time because a) There's no one else there and b) Sand doesn't get blown around or get into shoes.

I wrote that in the sand just below a cliff.

Sand is overrated. It's just tiny rocks.
Do you happen to have pages in your notebook ripped out, but no memory of doing it? That would explain a lot...

Anyway, the beach [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rl_unQXeKb4]. Yeah. I don't care that much for it, and I don't care much for summer either...

I like quieter, somewhat secluded beaches when it's cloudy or evening/night. Basically I think the sea looks pretty but I don't like the atmosphere of crowded beaches.

I can enjoy sitting by the ocean and letting the waves hit my feet, but as for the ocean:No, I'm always to paranoid about jellyfish and all manners of things that can kill me. After awhile though the sand gets to me. If I had a choice I would stay in than go to the beach.

surprisingly, as a borderline obsessive kitesurfer the beach is like a second home to me. what's not to like about going to the seaside on a sunny day.. getting wet and getting a buzz?!

screw games if the winds blowing!

No not really.

Its fine, but its highly overrated. Plus, I don't tan, I burn.
Exactly this sir...

I'm okay at surfing but I always end up with a 2nd degree sunburn no matter how often I apply sunscreen. I used to live in L.A. but now I'm in Colorado, it's nice here...

I tend to fall to pieces at the first signs of any hot weather, so I can't say I'm a great fan of the beach. Plus British beaches aren't all tha amazing anyway.

I don't like the beach. I just don't see the point. It's usually freezing cold, and the sand gets into my eyes.

Ironically, I live less then 10 minutes walk away from it. People are always telling me they are envious, but I really cant see why.
