The rock and roll group from Britain. Considered one of the greatest groups by some, and by others one of the worst things to happen to culture. Where they good, great, moderate, bad or awful.

Oh, and I like the Beatles. Good band. They were an early rock (ish) band, and they brought much needed controversy into the music world.

I don't know much of them, but from what I do know I would definetly say they were pretty good, but I don't think they were amazing and don't see how people get so fanatical over them.

I've listened to a couple of their albums and some of it is great, but most is just weird. (Rocky Raccoon? For The Benefit of Mr. Kite? WTF?)

I'm not a fan. I definitely would not listen to them by choice but I could tolerate them if they came on the radio and I was feeling particularly lazy.

Not much of a fan, but I guess they were OK. Good songs. Good 60's type of music. But not rock. Not metal. METAL FTW!

I think most people get onto the straight rock 'n roll stuff they do (Hard Day's Night, I wanto to hold your hand, Help) and when they hear the more esoteric stuff they do (Mr Kite, Strawberry Fields, I am the Walrus) and flip their shit out.

In which way though is the key, asmost people will hear it and go 'wtf is this shit?', whereas people with wierd minds like mine will flip their shit out in a good way. It reallyall depends on your disposition toward music without a traditional edge to it.

The Beatles were a gigantic leap forward in popular music. Without the Beatles, rock music as we know it now wouldn't exist.

You can dislike them, because that's down to taste, but you can't deny their influence.

It's meh. Too over hyped, doesn't really deliver on the promise of them being greater than Jesus.

Although it is possible to judge them from a purely technical standpoint, it is unfair to judge their music as a whole without the mindset of the time in which they wrote it.

Eh, they're alright. Some of their songs are meaningful or fun from the sheer trippiness (Imagine and I Am the Walrus respectively), but most of it is you're average pop-rock for that time.

Put short, they're decent, but they get way too much hype. Kind of like a retro Dragonforce, only better during their live shows.

Alright.

The Beatles are kind of like....

.... A retro Dragonforce, only they were better at their live shows.

I love the Beatles. Dig around their old stuff, and you find some crazy shit. My current favorite is "Helter Skelter"...although I really like "I am the Walrus".

Ah...they're relaxing to listen to.

No, just no. I honestly cannot fathom any comparison between The Beatles and Dragonforce. That's the equivalent of saying, "Marlon Brando is like a retro Keanu Reeves, only better in live interviews."
