And there's a poll which is sort of hopeless considering there's hundreds of free MMORPGs.

If I was forced to play a free MMORPG, I'd probably go with Cabal Online due to the combo system and style, or maybe Mabinogi due to the Ultima Online influences and hawt spokes-anime-trollop [http://www.fileplanet.com/promotions/mmoclub/images/mabinogi.jpg].

Cabal online, 100% free to download and to play. You can pay for buffs like Runescape to make you level quicker, etc. But you can do 100% of the same stuff without paying.

Its not everyone's cup of tea mind, it is Korean, and as such, a grind fest, but I enjoyed the story and the very pretty magic and fighting effects. From a universe of "Everything is made from 4 elements" type of fantasy.

Rappelz is good. I can definatly say its better than Runsecape.

It's like WoW but its free and doesn't have any annoying fanboys

EDIT: gPotatoes do cost money, but you don't NEED to buy them, they're just a luxury.

Guild Wars is a non subscription based game yes, but has to bought, with money.


For my vote, Runescape was good until I got bored by Level 76, Conqeor bored me so much I had to get an Emergency First Person Shooter treatment, Flyff was good but wasn't epic, and I have never heard of the rest. So I wont vote.

It is hard to find a good MMO that's free since World of Warcraft is put out of the running from the start. WoW is the only MMO that comes close to "good" in my eyes.

If you said no paying for, why did you list Runescape?
A lot of those games are originally free but they really are only free at first so they can show you that it's really boring unless you play.

I would pick either Silkroad or Rappelz.

I hated Conquer, the A-holes, the hacking, and the imbalance of classes, it was a terrible game. There are a lot more things but I won't speak of them here, heh.

Though I loved WoW, I'd have to say that I had more fun with Star Wars Galaxies when it first came out. I know how insanely broken and imbalanced it was but there was so much weird crap you could do. I remember just getting totally drug addled out of my mind and just beating the living crap out of things with my team and then while walking back to the town I started puking and going through withdrawl, eventually passing out and lying unconcious in the middle of a lake.

My group had never seen it before and I had to come clean and tell them that my character was a junky and all that awesome stuff I did due to PCP.

i use to be a runescape member for over a year but then my friend was an asshole and fucked up my account. so i quiz. but runescape is the only game up there i know so it gets my vote.

This is a tad pointless. Your list is thoroughly incomplete as a poll and isn't even representative of the top played free MMO's. This is like having a poll on your what you favorite food is and making your options salad, hamburger, apple, cheetos, or toothbrushes. Also, why are you making a poll about something you describe as crap and that you don't care about? What? Grrr...
