bleach: really got me entangled right now.
naruto: keeps postponing the awesome.
the yu-gi-oh manga: was kinda meh (mainlydo to the art style)
negima: got way too perverted for me.
hellsing: was better in anime in my opinion.
love hina: never tried.
wasn't aware pokemon had manga though.
legend of zelda were just the games shortend and put in 2d.
How can Dragon Ball not be on there? I want an answer. Or are you one of those "Dragon Ball is not a true anime/manga." person? Ya see, if it wasn't for Dragon Ball, nothing would have inspired Naruto or Bleach or any of these fighting manga.
Negima and Love Hina suck. Seriously. They are the most retarded manga with enough dumb gags in it to make you cry and a super thin plot which didn't want to end. You can't get more uncreative than those two mangas.
Death Note was a very good manga, and so was Hellsing, but the characterization on either of them wasn't that good. Yu-gi-oh I read a few chapters of and it was actually pretty good.
Naruto is pretty good despite being very cliched.
Bleach is also alright despite being cliched and spouts invariable amounts of crap every chapter recently. Jesus, Aizen is a veritable bullshit machine.
btw, goblins from wow are the most retarded thing ever.
Idc about Zelda or Pokemon.
Hah, same here. Including the thirteenth "How to Read" volume, although it dissapointed me a little with fairly shallow content(Apart from the Ohba/Obata interviews which were fairly funky).
Got a tonne of FMA and Hellsing dvds my old math teacher gave me laying unwatched. Are the anime versions on par with the manga? (Although ive admittedly not read much FMA)
But the ones I think are "the Best" are not listed.
I really like Pluto and Monster. Oh, and of course Hajime no Ippo. Those are my favourites, and I would say that the start of Hajime no Ippo was really awesome, but lately, it's dragged a bit. Any long manga that is not properly plotted out gets into the dreaded filler stage.
Man, there are so few options there it's hard to pick the best one. My personal favourite right now is Claymore, but in lieu of that I picked Hellsing.
I don't actually read any manga, my partner only buys the anime. I did however, read Samurai Deeper Kyo because I was not satisfied with how the anime went and I loved it so much more.
I feel that I must go with Hellsing. You know a series is good when the literally invincible, erm, protagonist is still entertaining to watch in battle in spite of the fact that you know he's always in control of the situation, though
Shroedinger did put him out of commission. I'm not sure if Alucard came back from that or not.
He does come back in the epilogue, thirty years later. The way he does is is total bullshit, but also totally badass at the same time.
It's been a while so I might be missing something, but this is what happened:
Shrodinger's power, as far as I understood it, is that he didn't really 'exist' in the normal sense of the word. He existed everywhere and nowhere at the same time, and it was only by observing himself that he could maintain a physical presence. It's a reference to the "Schrodinger's cat" experiment of course, where the cat is in a quantum state of being dead and alive at the same time until you open the box and see what really happened. Anyway, since Shrodinger killed himself and tricked Alucard to devour him, and everyone who gets devoured by Alucard adds their power to Alucard's, the vampire also gained that ability. The problem was that at this point the entity "Alucard" was composed of the three million people he had devoured over the ages, and Shrodinger could no longer be observed as an existing thing. Having gained Shrodinger's power, but without a single point of reference to observe it, Alucard couldn't will himself to exist the way Shroedinger did, and thus winked out of existence.
The way he found his way back was that, while in no-existence Limbo, he tracked down and murdered everyone he had ever absorbed (which apparently took him 30 years of non-stop killing), until only his original persona was left. Having the single point of reference restored so he could observe himself and thus manipulate Shroedinger's power. he simply willed himself to exist once again and returned to Integra.
Also, he is pretty much a God at the end, since he fully assimilated Shrodinger's powers in addition to his own vampire powers.
