So we in the "gamer" culture also tend to enjoy many other similar things, or else you probably wouldn't find some videos like Escape to the Movies on this site. One of those things I notice is an interest in the works of Joss Whedon, a TV and movie director known for several short-lived yet awesome series and one long-running series that just so happens to be awesome as well. I can probably predict the outcome of this quite clearly already, but I thought I would see what happens. Which series or movie from among the above is Whedon's best, and why?

I like Angel better than anything else. Even more than Buffy itself.

NO STUPID HIGH SCHOOL/COLLEGE SHIT!

His stuff was an upward climb till Dr. Horrible. Now anything he touches is horrible.

Angel for the win. I love Buffy too but Angel allowed characters to expand a bit more, like Cordelia, who in Buffy was just The snob but in Buffy actually became a well rounded character. So yeah Angel wins.

Firefly.

It's the best mainly because of Fox, they enforced brevity, so it didn't have time to run out of steam. It's a perverse positive that killing it early made it good, but it did, there was no time for it to get stale, it also meant the story had to resolve itself.

After that Angel, took the ideas in Buffy and ran with them. Although towards the end it started running out of ideas.

Firefly...but I just can't stop watching Dr. Horrible! I've had those damn songs stuck in my head for months. Shouldn't Dollhouse be here as well - though I doubt it would be anyone's top pick?

@Stir72: Dollhouse is there. I'm doubting it'll be anyone's pick, too.

Didn't put it in the OP so as to not influence the poll, but my personal favorite is Firefly, too. Even though the last time I dressed up for Halloween I went as Dr. Horrible, complete with songs and Death Ray. Though two years previous I went as Mal. Only those who'd seen Firefly knew who I was supposed to be, but agreed that it was epic.

Think again. I liked Dollhouse. I know its blasphemy, but I did not like firefly. Dollhouse was more coherent and well paced (but the latter was in part thanks to fox cancelling it instead of letting Whedon ramble on aimlessly and endlessly) and had a single underlying focal point. The show was misunderstood because to a lot of people it just seemed like mindless sex slaves in whore uniforms. To me Dollhouse was pretty much the only thing of Whedons I personally found enjoyable. I respect his ability as he is good at what he does, I just do not find a lot of interest in what he does.

Sigh, I should probably watch Firefly at some point. I like Whedon's work, he's earned his status. And I've seen all the other options, and one or two you didn't put up.

Voted Dr. Horrible though, because I did not expect to love that as much as I did.

I almost cried during that scene. It was so abrupt for Wash to die.

I shed a single tear everytime I see that. xD

Firefly all the way, enjoyed it more than the rest.

Toss up between Firefly and Dollhouse. (Though I haven't seen Dr Horrible, despite having been informed that it is awesome.)

But Serenity was brilliant for having one of the best space battles ever produced (or at least I think so). Nnn, FF edges it.

Curse you, Fox!

Firefly, by far.

The western sci fi feel made it unique and it was damn good too.

Curse you, Fox!

Dr. Horrible is perhaps one of my favorite things ever. I consider it Joss' best work.

It is followed closely by Buffy for me. But Buffy has always lost points with me because of season 4 and some of the sillier story lines in the later seasons.

As much as I love Dr. Horrible, Firefly was the greatest sci-fi show to ever grace a television set (sorry NPH).

Well, Firefly was okay, but nothing special in my mind. If it had been given more time it could have been something great, but as of now it just seems okay to me. I just started watching Buffy, and it is pretty awesome, so I will go with that. Buffy rocks socks.
