Poll: The Best or the Rest? A Dilemma

A hypothetical question. Of course this would never happen, but what do you think you'd do if it did?

Think of your favourite genre. Now think of your favourite game in that genre. Now ask yourself this:

You've been given a choice. You can continue to play your favourite game, but no other in that genre, ever, or you can play any other game in that genre, including future releases, but not your favourite, ever again. Other genres are unaffected by your decision.

So what would you do? For me, I'd have to decide between Doom and every other FPS, and thinking about it it's a genuinely hard decision. If I could get Doom II and Final in with it though, I think I'd be able to say goodbye the rest.

EDIT: if your favourite has an ongoing story you're allowed to play future instalments of that series, though no other.

The rest, the future will always have good games if not better than the current best but the best will get boring. Yeah.

The rest for no other reason than future releases. While one game may be practically perfect today theres a great track record of "something even better" coming along.

Besides, after youve played your favorite.. even if it is your favorite, youve already had the experience and they cant take that experience away from you.

I'm not sure just what my favourite game is. It'd be CoD 1, Deus Ex or S.T.A.L.K.E.R. SoC.

Seeing as I barely play CoD 1 now and I've played enough of both it and SoC to last me a lifetime, if I had to choose from those I'd choose the genre rather than the game.
However, Deus Ex is one of those games I love to play, get a good chunk of the way through or finish, wait a few months then play it again, and I'm also planning on replaying The Nameless Mod (if you haven't played it, GET IT) as I've only given it a solid playthrough twice and have missed out on a lot of stuff.

However, I might be cheating, because Deus Ex is pretty much a whole bunch of genres. It's an RPG, FPS, Stealth Adventure game...thing...
So if I had to choose RPG's or Deus Ex, I'd pick Deus Ex.
If I had to choose between stealth games or Deus Ex, Deus Ex.
If I had to pick between shooters and Deus Ex...bye my old friend...
