PC, cos its got most of everything the above consoles have (to be fair, theres a fair few 360 and PS3 games you won't see on PC's) plus a lot of PC exclusive stuff. Modding communities, internets, emulators (which are legal under slightly specialised conditions), and, of course, the option to upgrade.

On the other hand, they can be a pain the damn ass.

The Nintendo Wii, for the easy pick up and play games that the console houses, along with the rather upbeat mood that their games usually contain. Though on the flipside, I can never succesfully play an FPS with my friends without coming in second to last.

PC isn't really a console, and this is a vs. thread in disguise. The mods don't care for those... especially when they've probably been done before.

I voted PC, only because it's the one thing that hasn't broken on me.

I've pretty much owned most systems since the SNES but those two were the best for me.

That's a stupid poll. I prefer 360s to PS3s, but happen to think that the PS2 was the best console ever made.

Gotta be the PC now consoles do have their place but I love games and consoles are just too closed I like having the choice for instance I love portal and their are some really nice fan made levels the same goes with crysis that really extend gameplay.
Another thing is user replaceable parts, I have a spare USB DVD RW that can be used if my built in optical drive fails so its not a case where with a console the whole thing needs to be shipped back which is a big hassle and time waste.

Your poll is completely flawed, How can you have a best system of all time thread and force people to vote for 2 systems at a time? And you seem to have completely forgotten about Dreamcast? Bit harsh on the old girl, don't you think? Shenmue & Jet Set Radio are right up there on my favourite games list.

The SNES wins for me, Zelda:Link to the Past, secret of mana, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario World, F Zero, FF6.

All of those except Rock Band are done much better on the PC, a much more versatile gaming unit that doesn't break nearly as easy.

I've once heard that comparing the consoles to a PC is like comparing cars with helicopters. Not in the elitist stance that consoles are moot in the presence of a PC, but merely because the two are different enough that comparing the two things is pointless.

For this thread, my favorite console is either the NES or the SNES for the game library and replay ability.
