Both PSone and PS2, I love both and have some of my favorite games on them. I do have to give the first Xbox credit though for KOTOR and Jet Set Radio Future.

Even though i'd hate to admit it, trying to be as logical as possible the PC is probably the best system.

Even though I use my 360 the most, I'm going to have to go with PC. It's the most versatile system. If you've got a good rig, then a PC will beat any console.

As it happens though, my PC sucks, so I prefer my 360.

This isn't really a question of "What system is best?", it's more of "What system do you own?". I, for one, have little experience with any systems other than the ones that I personally own, so I am not informed enough to make a rational decision of what system is best based on the information that I have.

Also forgot that when new stuff gets released i.e latest graphics cards I can get them without having to camp outside a store for a week like when the new consoles get released I can stay at home at often get things the very next day.
Plus old games on new hardware is a major plus point and the bigger games often have graphical updates.

I really am so super special awesome surprised that I was the first one to vote SEGA Genesis/Saturn.

EDIT: But for the record, it's the Dreamcast.

granted not exactly groundbreaking but the games had some of the best gameplay i can remember

Ignoring costs and maintenance: The PC, A lot of console games are also on it plus it usually has better multiplayer (let's take TF2 and L4D as examples in comparison to their console counterparts). As well as nicer graphics, customisable controls (usually) and all games can have music played at the same time.

PC isn't really a console, and this is a vs. thread in disguise. The mods don't care for those... especially when they've probably been done before.

I voted PC, only because it's the one thing that hasn't broken on me.

The OP didn't say console, they said system.

I've once heard that comparing the consoles to a PC is like comparing cars with helicopters. Not in the elitist stance that consoles are moot in the presence of a PC, but merely because the two are different enough that comparing the two things is pointless.

That is one of the smartest things i've heard all day.

Please note, this wasn't my original thought process. If I do believe so, it was someone here on the Escapist. Regardless, it still holds more truth than anything that came out of the console wars.

I put down PC, but next would be the Jaguar that you don't list. At the time it out did all other games, but being made by Atari ment no advertizing so no sales

I play my XBox 360 more than anything and I have all the Nintendo (well...traded in the Gamecube because the Wii plays those games) systems, XBox-XBox360, PS2, PS1, Sega Genesis. Love my XBox. I'll go with the Prince of Persia games as my favorite since I've played them the most so far.

I'd play the PS2 more if it wasn't upstairs in the bedroom hooked to a dinky 27" TV. 42" of plasma with surround sound is a sweet thing.
