Poll: The Big 4 Thrash Bands

Gotta go with Metallica because the ratio of their songs that I like compared to the ones I don't completely outmatches the other three.

EDIT: I love all 4, but Metallica has a greater # of songs that I love than the others.

Poll is biased!

I'd pick Anthrax because they always had the smartest lyrics, and were the only ones who looked like they were actually having FUN. Also definitely the most influential on metal these days when you look at the whole "core" movement, "mosh" sections in songs and all that associated stuff. The first band to realise that slower is actually heavier and better for crowd movement.

A toss up between slayer and megadeth for me. I prefer slayer's music but I can never understand the singer. Megadeth used to be amazing so I'll pick them. They have put out some terrible songs in the late 90's and early 2000s though]

Metallica for Creeping Death was the highlight of the 80s. Also the '89 tour was the highlight of the highlight of the 80s.
