That's a tough one.

I think, seriously, I would keep them. I mean, if my kid matured to the point where I knew it wasn't just peer pressure and they wanted it removed I'd pay for the operation but ... I'm pretty sure I'd keep the extra pair of arms until that point.

My cousin was born with an extra finger on each hand. Her parents had them removed when she was about 9 months old - but only because the extra finger was obstructing the growth of adjacent fingers. That's probably the attitude I'd take.

I'd probably have them removed, as horrible as that may seem. The reason is because of how society reacts to "different" things. I have a mentally disabled cousin and I feel enough pain seeing the way people sometimes react to him (luckily he doesn't notice, or it would be even worse). I wouldn't want my child to have to go through being called a freak just because people don't understand or accept anomalies.

So you could look at porn and play games at the same time? I wouldn't take such an amazing gift away from my child!

Edit: (Its a joke I'm not sick)

I'd let him keep the arms. Do you know how often I've wished for another pair? X_x Carrying things would be so much easier if I had another pair of arms. This kid would have so many advantages over everyone else... Except clothing. But that could be fixed with a needle and thread or by ordering custom clothing.

It's really not a tough question. Usually when an animal is born with an extra limb, the limb is underdeveloped and completely useless. So while the child might have an extra set of arms, it will more than likely not be able to use them, they'd just hang there. So I'd have them removed.

You're right, I'm sure being compared to a game character would make his/her life much easier. :p

I would wait til the child groews up.

If i had an extra set of something, i wouldnt have it removed.

Extra arms = better at multitasking
Extra legs = faster
Extra eye = better vision
Extra dick = wooohooooo
Well extra legs might not mean faster, maybe even slower. Easy to get them tangled up and such.

Leave them. That kid would be so awesome at handball it wouldn't be funny.

Well, okay, it might be funny when he's got the opponent by the neck and is slapping them silly and still playing fucking handball. But it wouldn't be funny because who plays handball.

Probably have them removed, in all seriousness, since there are issues like clothing and ludicrous amounts of publicity to think of. I wouldn't want my kid being the national freak all their life.

i would let him keep them. the uses are astounding, i've always wanted a third hand so two extra hands i think would be a valuable asset. and even though he might be teased, he has four arms to beat people up with!

It depends how noticeable they are. If they're the size of normal arms it would look a little strange and to be quite honest Paparazzi would be all over him which would definatly make me as a parent feel uncomfortable so I'd have it removed. If they're small little arms I'd get them removed without a doubt because that would be even stranger.

Hmm, tough choice. On one side, all the advantages of having 4 arms. I mean, 4 arms means you have a massive advantage defending yourself, but it also means that you can multi-task better. Driving for example. You can change gear and not take your hands of the steering wheel. In drums you can hit 4 instead of two, in fact, 4 arms is a huge advantage in many aspects in life.

On the other hand, having idiots tease you at school, mass paparazzi attention which could be a very unhappy experience for a child... just generally being singled out for that one trait... sadly, for all their physical value, I think I'd have to go with removing the arms... I'm not sure if that's the right choice but its the one I think I'd have to go with for the sake of the child. As a parent at the end of the day its not my job to stand against societal pressures, but to do what is absolutely most in the childs interest. That is my 1st and sole duty as a parent, and setting him up to be a bully victim and an item of mass media interest is NOT in the childs interest.

There is a fetish for multiple limbs and things like that. He/she might grow up to be a great companion for someone with that paraphilia.. but really, what the hell else would you keep it for? Give the kid a normal fucking life.
