Never thrown one. I've dropped a couple (about 1 foot or 2 from the ground is all) and I've had a couple PS3 controllers where the left joystick stops working or gets stuck, leading to cartoonesc cliff falling but never thrown one.

I haven't broken a controller, but I had a friend who literally snapped a Sega Genesis controller in half once.

You know what both eases stress AND doesn't cost you $40-60?

...swearing. :)

Yes. 2 from anger, one from shotty make. I got that silver controller with the D-Pad that changes...and the frickin D-Pad thing broke off! And since I use it heavily...it is useless to me. (Fighting games and Menu Selection mostly)

I did throw a control once when I was pissed, but it was a gamecube controller so it was completely unharmed. Nintendo must have been planning for an apocalypse that generation because their stuff was indestructible. I've seen a GC tossed around and dragged behind a truck and then still play games.

All of my NES, N64, Wii, and Xbox360 controllers are working great still. Only my PS2 controllers are breaking down a bit, but that's because they're made of crap. The shoulder buttons on those are all screwed.
Weird... I broke my Gamecube just by sitting on it. And I am so underweight.
Define sit and underweight I can't believe you broke one by sitting on it.

Hell no. Those things cost sixty bucks nowadays. My father taught me the value of money.

One time a guy I knew threw my controller.

I was pissed.

Not from anger, I accidentally trod on my old PS2 controller wearing boots though. It still worked it just really didn't like it.

Never, all my controllers still work perfectly. They're quite difficult to break, if you ask me... I don't know what people do with them.

I recently started to play my PS2 again.

One controller's D-Pad is not functioning at all. My OTHER controller's face buttons[footnote]Square, Triangle, Circle and X.[/footnote] didn't work. Luckily, it started to work again properly.

Only PlayStation 1 & 2 controllers. Just from use, not from rage.

I almost broke my Nintendo controllers when I was a kid (rage), but I'd take them apart and fix them.

And please: The first time you mention a game (or tv show/movie) title, use the whole thing so people know what the hell you're writing about.

I hate seeing

and have to decide whether I need to look it up or if it even matters.

Many a ps2 controller fell to the joystick lag.
Plus, when I had cats, they'd chew on the wires.
I don't have cats anymore.

Well, the analog stick on one of my GameCube controllers is a bit loose, but I don't know if that was my fault since it's been like that as long as I can remember. Then again, I have dropped it several times. Other than that all my controllers are in perfect shape.
