I'd like the vampire clans back. Being a vampire alone was not all that fun in Oblivion, especially that I could no longer jump across rooftops like I did in Morrowind (damn you, Imperial architecture!). Plus it's always good to have another organisation to advance in.

I haven't played Daggerfall or Bloodmoon, so I don't know if the werewolves were any good, but I'm never against having more options.

That would be interesting, add a vampire hunters guild where your quests involve trying to determine who, out of a list of people, is a vampire and then killing them
Yay, I'm all for it.

Twilight had one good idea when it came to vampires, if I were a vampire I would spread all sorts of lies about what my weakness were, for example I would tell people that vampires don't have a reflection in mirrors and when my reflection shows up they wouldn't suspect me. That being said, vampires have been said why can't vampires be suave aristocrats? What better way to hunt humans then to woo them? It's not like the drudge of the Earth will taste good, no medical care all the drugs they put into their system malnourishment.
I guess if they put them in I could always hunt the goddamn 'flea's in suits'. Suave this! *pew pew pew*

hehe.

Yeah that's a great idea.

I blame Twilight, it's the cause of all vampire badass decay.

It made vampires good, which bothers me, but it also made them invulnerable to humans which bothered me because why don't they just take over the world? If you want a good "vampire" book read Peeps by Scott Westerfeld, it creates an idea of vampires that could actually exist

I think we should have more werethings. Not just werewolves. In fact, there should be a werebeast for every kind of player. For example, if you're a sneaky stealth dude, you could get the option to become a wererat or a wereferret or something (Yeah, I know, wereferret is the coolest word ever). For mages, you could be some kind of... I dunno... what's a stereotypically intelligent animal? Maybe a weredolphin? :D
And of couse, to appease the MLP crowd, wereponies.

Neither, both have been less than adequate half arsed features in the past, better to focus on polishing the core elements of the game.

It's true, they really need to make these transformations much more significant features, but they're nice to have even when they're half-assed.

Done right, they could add a huge amount of replayability and experimentation.

The problem is that it would take time to develop on Bethesda's part, and they're already trimming things down as it is.
I assume most of the work is going into the world building and the Dragons. A whole transformation system would be huge. They'd also have to consider balance and what not.

It's tragic but features like this aren't going to be seen again in RPG's (unless it's central focus) due to the sheer amount of time and money it takes to make games these days.

But hey, we have fully voiced dialogue now. I mean, only squares like long RPGs with variety in gameplay. I'd much rather listen to NPC's chat about mubcrabs.

That's not a problem, they could just stick Vampires and Werewolves in an update, DLC, or expansion, they'd have all the time they needed to work out the details that way.

I'm almost 100% sure that there are vampires in Skyrim. I really hope Werewolves reappear.

Unfortunately the werewolf in Bloodmoon was kind of underpowered. But of course a mod took care of that.

Wereolves were in the Nord themed expansion for Morrowind (Bloodmoon) so it fits that they'd be in Skyrim.

I want vampires in but I want them to authentically sparkle in the sunlight and be basically superheroes.

Definitely both!
The werewolves should also have climbing and jumping abilities that let them get around much faster, like climbing up walls and diving from roof to roof.
Also, how about some special side-missions that require you to be a werewolf/vampire to start/complete? Maybe there's an assassination contract that can only be fulfilled by someone with amazing climbing/jumping abilities (werewolf), or someone has a grudge on someone else who hates vampires, so you're hired by the first person to infect the second in an act of spite. (vampire).
Just some thoughts.

I prefered vampirism in Morrowind over that in Oblivion.

Why?

Because in Morrowind it still felt like a curse. It took you out of the Mortal's society and forced you into darkness. There were benefits to it, but only a lunatic would have taken this life over a normal one. Through playing a vampire you could understand why people considered it a curse to be shuned and avoided.

In Oblivion Vampirism has no Down-Sides. Yes, you have to drink blood every night. But really? What is the deal with that? Hurts noone. Just a little pinch in the neck and you are good to go for the day. Even the Sun can't harm you as long as you stay properly lubricated.

If Vampirism in the World would behave this way, everybody with half a brain would want to be transformed! Since the only downside you have to take for being an immortal super soldier is to sip a cup of blood every day.

I think it would be cool if you could make a contract with a demon which the changes in stats, apperance and unique powers would be dependent on which demon you chose to make the deal with

I'd say have both, though I would like to see more weapons designed for hunting them. Like silver hurts Werewolves and stakes and crosses for Vamps. Seriously I wanna live out my Supernatural fantasies :D

Vampirism- I don't care about. Lycanthropy on the other hand seems like a must for this game. I don't know how Bethesda could be taking us to the magical Nordic homeland of Scandinarnia without giving us wolf men.

There was a Lycanthropy mod for Oblivion wherein you could bite others and create a pack... I like that idea. A lot, actually.
