curious, what are you buying the game for?babinro said:The true answer is....among the least interesting parts of the game.
Dragon Age Origins peaked at the landsmeet.
Dragon Age 2 peaked at the Arishok.
Don't get me wrong...Bioware is leagues ahead of Bethesda in terms of offering a satisfying main quest conclusion but that's not what people are buying this game for. At least, that's not what I'm buying the game for.
Would you mind putting the "...will be..." in the poll into the thread title? I worry that somebody will misunderstand and post ending spoilers in the thread. Thanks!Pr0 said:What do you think it will be?
For the party interaction. Getting to know your party members and becoming attached to some of them has always been the most fun aspect of Bioware RPGs. If I look back at DA: Origins, I don't tend to think of it in terms of overcoming the Blight or facing off against a High Dragon. I look back and remember Alistar and Morrigan bickering, Shale hating on pigeons, and Sten constantly giving me a hard time through culture shock. If I look at DA2 or the Mass Effect series it's pretty much the same.gmaverick019 said:curious, what are you buying the game for?babinro said:The true answer is....among the least interesting parts of the game.

(not trying to be sarcastic or a smartass, legit curious.)
fair enough, I play for very similar reasons, however I do wish for a "fulfilling" ending here...and by that, I mean I would like most of, if not all, of the major plot points of the previous games to get some sort of closure. (what happened with morrigan? her baby? flemeth? hawke? hawke's companions? your warden? alistair? oghren? the architect?)babinro said:For the party interaction. I'll be all about exploring the world and learning about my companions as I make decisions and complete side quests. I'm also all about the major decisions you make throughout these games. Who took the throne? Did you side with the Dalish? These are all parts of the main quest but for me tend to feel like more satisfying than slaying the big bad at the end.
Finally I'll be getting the game for the mechanics. I enjoy RPGS and I love the combat systems in the games. The world looks pretty and it should be fun to play.
If I devote 80 hours of joy to this game only to find that the last 3 hours are complete shit it simply wouldn't kill the experience for me. It didn't in Mass Effect 3...though it did impact my desire to replay the game as I still haven't gone back to see the new ending.
Why would I "come at you"....your enjoyment of the ending of ME3 has no relative bearing to my complete lack of enjoyment of them. They are subjective points of view and fighting over such things is the pursuit of unevolved primates.h@wke said:Yeah well I liked ME3s endings so come at me bro
On that note, i'm hoping it wraps thing up nicely and isn't just a set up for the next installment or whatever

You're welcome to like whatever you like, and I'm welcome to point out that the entire ending of ME3 was a lie going back months and months before the game was even released.
