They also said that about Halo 3 and ODST... As much as this pains me, this will not be the last we see of Halo I assure you.

I agree but they never said ODST would be the last. Reach had been announced by then.

I want it to be the end, but I know it won't since it is Bungie we're talking about.

Even though Bungie aren't making them any more? it's up to 343 studio's after Reach is released.

Maybe there is hope then, I don't keep tabs on that series.

BUNGIE isn't working on any more Halo titles after this, they're going to go off and do some new stuff, but I believe more Halo stuff will be worked on by 343 Industries.

i've only played Halo a few times, and personally i thought it was kinda boring. it doesn't seem bad, just average, which makes me confused as to what all the past Halo hype has been about... Maybe its the type of thing you can only understand after playing the game for hours or somethin,

Bungie's like a cheap friend to all of its fans. Perfecly content to bum some money ($60) with no intention of repaying (ODST), but at least they care. Once Bungie's gone there will be nothing to seperate Halo from other generic alien shooters, and the series will die.

OT: Personally I couldn't care less, but there's no reason to waste a perfecly good analogy. Halo's been very slightly above mediocrity since creation IMO.
