Wow is not dead until people stop playing. When will people learn that?

WoW is like zombie-Deadpool. No matter how many times you think it's dead, it will always jump up and slice your head open with a katana when you least expect it. So say goodbye to your brains and be amazed by the profit made by Cataclysm alone!

With the latest WoW patch, a LOT of things have been changed. Spells removed and added, talents changed, mechanics redesigned, but were all of these changes good?

Please, debate.

(personal opinion: revert changes and go back to Wotlk, it was flawed but better than what we got now)

That's the case with every big patch before an expansion. This is no different. Remember when Haunt was added and made Warlocks op for a while? Remember when Paladins were given a huge boost to make it so more people would use them, which resulted in them becoming a very hated class for a while? Remember when DK's first started out? (I'm addressing the spells and talents comment you made)

Every new expansion is going to warrant new changes that shakes the very foundation of the game and everything we know about it, whether good or bad. It's just a matter of tweaking. And as someone else said, the patch wasn't meant for WotLK content, it was meant for Cata. Personally, I think we just need to wait and see how it fits into Cata...IF it fits. In the meantime, they're allowing us to get used to some of the more major changes, and that's fine by my book.

I don't play WoW anymore, but I have many friends that do. I can tell you from experience that what's happening now has happened before. Every time a big patch gets dropped, everyone panics, complains, threatens to quit the game forever, then, after a few weeks, they get used to it. A few months later, when the next big patch drops, it begins again.

This time next month, everything's likely to be back to normal. Well, as normal as the WoW community ever gets, anyway.

Take heed; as it is now, nothing can kill World of Warcraft. It's just too much of a behemoth with too much momentum behind it.

I doubt WoW will ever die. I used to play it and the only reason I stopped was because it took up too much of my time. But, I still think its a great game and all, and to be honest the whole new world thing makes me want to go back to it. So the chances are that for everyone who leaves, someone else will join (whether they're totally new or used to play it). So for that reason, I highly doubt that WoW will die. Ever.
