Poll: The Escapist video intro: Love it or hate it?

As much as I enjoy most of the video content on this site, every time I click "play" I have to mute the feed while The Escapist's logo plays. I just can't stand that "Ha!!" when the "e" is being drawn.

It seems like a little thing, but I'm curious if anyone else feels the same way.

I don't really mind it - although sometimes when I'm playing Rebecca Mayes' videos they tend to spoil the effect a bit. It does get on my nerves if I'm working my way through a series though - hearing it twenty something times in one night gets annoying.

I liked it better when he used his on music, and while the ZP theme is good it's getting quite old.

I liked the old cinematography reel thingy because I felt like I was watching a movie or something. The current one reminds me of TF2's Scout though. Hrm. Hard to pick.

I'm not a fan. I remember when it first appeared and I thought 'hmm, I don't like this now, but I'm sure I'll grow to love it,' nope, still don't. Sometimes it's not as annoying as other times, but I much preferred the video reel thing they used to do.

I wouldn't say I hate it, but I don't really see how it belongs there. For a site that seems to trend toward the more intelligent in terms of published content, even if it's sometimes presented in a humorous way, that intro bit just seems "dumb."

I dislike it, at least. A smug "HA!" when you want to watch an interesting video is never nice.

I miss when ZP had songs at the beginning of the video instead of it's theme tune though.

I dislike the 'HA' and I miss the reel. But I don't care enough about either to get angry or annoyed over it.

Same here. The theme now is alright, but it just gets kind of... bland after awhile.

Anyways, the little intro is fine for the most part. It's annoying, and I don't really see the point of it (after all, don't you have to be ON the site to watch the videos that have that opening?) but I'm not gonna complain.

Bit bored of it as it trails every video. Kind of like when you get ads at the beginning, just gets in the way of the vid that you want to watch. Understand the need for them but still wish they weren't there.
