In many forums a lot of people seem to make a habit out of quoting the OP, or original post. Sometimes this can help like for example if you want to tackle the OP's points individually. However most people just do the obnoxious thing and just quote the OP to either A: Make sure his point is heard or B: Because he doesn't know any better. After all. Just quoting the entire post is redundant and only stretches the page.

So What do you think?

I just wanted to be heard. :D

On topic, I think the posters should use discretion; there are times to quote and times not to.

People should think about whether or not a quote is necessary, such as if their point is original or not.

Only dead fish go with the flow. Thus the name Zombie_Fish is suitable I reckon.

Everybody is doing it, and I'll be damned if I'm the one to not follow a trend.

Meh, its not bad really, if its used to contradict someone then its alright.
