Melancholic, and I'm not at all surprised. I wouldn't say I don't get along well with others though, but more I often demand too much perfection from myself that when I don't reach that expectation I can have very low self-esteem.

None of the other choices fit me at all.

I don't think I fit in any because I'm anti-social and hate people and every single type is sociable or caring. The test came back sanguine, which I can understand because I never stick to hobbies but I'm extremely introverted.

Your little test calls me melancholic.
Sounds about right!

If you really hated people, you'd have had a psychotic break by now and turned into a serial killer. You sure you hate all mortals everywhere?

When I started reading the Melancholic one I thought that was gonna be me, except less perfectionistic. Then I read Phlegmatic and it fit me better.
The test agreed.

I guess I know myself then?

Pfft

At work I am dead center between Sanguine and Choleric.

Outside of work I am dead center between Melancholic and Phlegmatic.

I tend to work hard and play fairly hard but rarely seek out the company of others. The test had no sliding scale and was not even close to sophisticated enough to reflect this. I'd say on the whole I have a rather unhealthy balance of the 4 traits.

I would have guessed to be either melancholic or phlegmatic (more so). The test returned phlegmatic so no surprise there, but I think the most accurate description of me would be "melancholically phlegmatic" meaning mostly phlegmatic with some melancholic mixed in...

I hate jail and death more. Besides you try to kill everything you don't like?

'Hate people', you said. Not really a choice of wording that leaves room for generous interpretations, eh mate?

And some people hate spiders or their neighbors dog but not everyone goes out of their way to attack them. When I hate something I avoid it. I hate people so I avoid them. If it makes you feel better I mean hate as in strong dislike, not loathing.

The test is painfully oversimplified, but there's nothing wrong with the temperaments; these, Enneagram, and the Myers-Briggs personality types are all fascinating.

Melancholic, INTP.

Exactly the same with me. Would have described myself as sanguine, but the test came back choleric.

Choleric might also fit, because I have no trouble seeing things through and can be extremly disciplined if I'm motivated. Additionally I'm good a motivating and leading others, thats kind of a musthave as a martial arts coach. I first thought I'm sanguine because I tend to abandon stuff quickly if I lack motivation and enjoy social gatherings and making new friends very much.

May I ask how you mean that, do you really hate everybody? I assume you mean more like almost everybody but still, I couldn't even name one person that I really hate.

Or are you exaggerating and its more like you dislike people/don't get along with others?

I thought Melancholic was a very accurate description of me, but the test said Phelgmatic. I could certainly relate to many traits there as they are also introvert based, but I feel Melancholic is a better description.

From the descriptions, I placed myself between melancholic and phlegmatic. And my test returned phlegmatic, so no huge surprise there. There's a few things that don't quite apply in the description - preferring stability to uncertainty and change, and being passive-aggressive (especially that, since passive-aggressiveness is one of my pet peeves) - but overall, it skews pretty close to my personality. Still...

This, as well. I do have to agree that the test was rather... simplistic. But it's good to see another INTP here. I remember a Myers-Briggs thread a while back that was overwhelmed with INTJs.

Apparently I'm phlegmatic. Though I see my self as more of a combination of all but Choleric, leaning more towards Melancholic.

Well, the test came back with sanguine. Then it promptly went into a description of what that means that doesn't apply to me at all.

\(0.0)/

So I have no bloody idea.

Hate in the same vain as in that song you hate or that game you hate, so yeah a strong dislike. A better way to put it wold be I don't care and really only hate people who think I should care about others because we're the same species. I can get along with others but I don't enjoy it and find acting tiresome.
