Resident Evil 5 was the worst of the series. Enemies were kind of boring and the dialogue...oh god the dialouge. PARTNER? Partners...PARTNER!! I thought we were partners. Don't forget, were partners. PARTNERSSSS!!!! Might as well call it Resident Evil: Partner Edition. The bad guys, while just as lame as RE4's, weren't as funny or had as nice dialouge. Bosses felt a bit uninspired, and you fought two of them, twice.

That being said the CO-OP in RE5 was a lot of fun. The downside being that if you wanted to play solo, you better have a high endurance for bots. RE5 computer ally was horrible. The game was much easier with a human ally. RE4 was much better I thought. Still, as much as I'm knocking RE5, I did, and still do, enjoy it.

Personally CODE:Veronica was the best in my opinion, and the RE1 remake. That classic control feel is somewhat awkward but you get used to it, and I loved it personally. RE1 scared the crap out of me as a kid, and will remain a classic in my mind.

So if I had to choose?

Back to the old style!

what?! No resident evil Legos?
No Resident Evil physics puzzle on Android Phones? (i'd sooner spoon a bear than touch an apple product.)
Resident evil Scene it trivia?!
Resident Evil THE CARD GAME! (I've played Cthullu version of Munchkin, this one wouldn't be too far of.)
Resident Evil real time strategy (send in swarms of happy meal men to the masses of undead). Resident Evil Zombapault (fling the undead at a slow moving boss/tyrant).
The Arklay Mountain Trail!(Oregon Trail, but with zombies)
Katamari Bioharzard! (yeah thats right... let those images simmer in your brains for a tick.)
RaccoonVille. (fuck you to everyone who keeps inviting me to play FarmVille.
"Play FarmVille!".
"No, I've already played Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing."
And heavy forbid a Biohazard MMO... -.-.... Yeah...

Anywho these are idea i farted out in about 3 minutes... i know there could be more done with this. Who else wants to add to the list. Let Biohazard die already, Capcom, stop beating your horse and let it die already. Its been a fun run. An awkward run with events you'd rather keep in the closest (dead aim) but a fun run none the less despite plot points, character developments etc.

Bring back the horror of RE1 and 2. Everything since just hasn't done it as far as I'm concerned.

It's hard to say what they could do with the next one, personally, I really loved going through Resident Evil 5 with a partner and just want more of that really, however, when I first played it I was by myself and it was frustrating, I dropped it fairly fast.
You forgive me for the roasting?

Please say you forgive me for the roasting.

*drops to her knees and pleads*

*coughs* On topic--- I know little to nothing about the Resident Evil games, except what I experienced in Number 5, but what I do know is that I enjoyed the CO-OP and setting and game-play mechanics (on the PC). To continue it along those lines would be spectacular. Though make the partner AI smarter should you not have a Comrade to drag along with.

I loved Resident Evil 2, but I also loved 5. Yes, I'm a co-op junkie, so sue me.

If they pulled off a game like 5, with the new action controls and camera, but went back to the T-Virus and original creepy atmosphere, I would be a happy camper.

Of course, all I really want is Wesker to come back. Nothing else matters so long as Wesker isn't actually dead.

I'd frankly rather it die, but if they insist on making more for the love of god make it scary again!
I hated 4 and 5 because there was absolutely no tension, no fear, no feeling of being hunted, no chance of running out of ammo and without that all you're left with is a pretty piss poor story.

My biggest complaint is that not once during playing it did I think to my self ohfuckohfuckohfuck!
Not once did I catch myself thinking "Go on, the power button is right there, all you need to do is reach out and you'll be safe and in your home again, go on, no one will ever know, what are you trying to prove anyway?" THAT is the mark of a good survival horror game, the over whelming desire to turn it off and hide under the covers.
Damn, truer words have seldom been spoken. RE2 and RE3 Nemesis(*Stars*...oohhh fffuuuuuu) had that atmosphere.

The Las Plagas story killed Resident evil for me, I could bear the T-virus but with the lame, cliché plot aspect in RE4 I could never say it was good. I never bothered with RE5.

As for the camera style...I found that over the shoulder killed the horror. I did find the fixed angles rather annoying at times however it's a price I'm willing to pay.

Another thing, kill Wesker off. he's being more exploited than a cheap hooker.

Burn it. It died when the story became that the owner of Umbrella wanted immortality.

Really? Come on! That so standard! I perfered it when Umbrella was run by Capitalist from 1930's Soviet film. Just a set of stupid people building monsters for the sake of Dollars. To me its not gameplay, but story that needs sorting.

Yes, I am one of those people who actively follow the whole plot.

If it has to come back, let it return to what it is. Res 3. The Game of Gods.

I liked the older RE games they gave a feeling of dread. You had to conserve ammo and learned to run from some battles instead of blasting everything in sight. It'll be nice if a new RE had a most classic setup yet over the shoulder gameplay with good jump scares (dead space style). Make it really survival horror, here's a concept.

It's like raccoon city yet the city has some size and depth to do it, so you'll have 2+ routes to get somewhere while on a linear gameplay path eventhough the city would be huge. an example would be "you have to get to a part of town so you can meet up with some survivors and continue the storyline" Here's the thing that'll make it more survivor horror you'll have to rest since time would go by and you're movements will be sluggish without proper rest "also you can only make a solid save while resting".
The season would be like late fall / winter so there be more night time then day. Yet being out at night you'll have a lot more time to get things done but you'll attract more zombies because sound would carry. Then being in the colder conditions would tire you out more. On the other hand during the day you'll less time but have more strength and you can see better. (of course) You'll also encounter less zombies but the ones you do would be more ravenous and harder to kill. Then most other survivors would run on this time cycle if you're trying to meet up with them for supplies or intel, etc.
Add some grey area moral choices like you're able to completely ignore all survivors so you can push on and save yourself. Or you'll have to do things for other survivors for what you need or you can kill them and take what you want.
Get rid of the outlandish puzzles like getting gems to get a key to open a door BS. You'll have to find a lockpick kit for basic doors, explosives for doors that won't budge or for barricades, keycards for CPU's and high tech doors.
You can get allies to help you and a friend can play with you but the main game can be played alone if a player wants to.
Finally have it connected to the RE storyline but have it with a new cast of characters. Next add some cameo chars like HUNK, Barry, and maybe Leon when you get close to the end of the game when the Government finally sends in experts. Maybe Ada could help you out when it came to special items over the radio or something like that (screw Chris and Jill seriously they can sit this one out)

I forgive you for the roasting, However, the dropping of me down pits and such still hurts. You have lots of making up to do.

I wouldn't get up from your knees just yet.

I agree with the parts about the outlandish puzzles and such but overall I would say your idea sounds more like Dead Rising than Resident Evil, and is maybe a bit too far from Resident Evil's style. (Then again they've changed game style like 3 times but I mean the linearity and stuff >.>)

For the movies, I'd prefer less slowmo.

For the games... co-op mode is cool, I like that. So probably just an amazing co-op game of RE that is like 4 I suppose
I'm sorry mate but do u even like resident evil games or horror for that fact because with horror u don't have one person with u! ur on ur own thats the whole point of survival horror!!

I think resi 5 is too easy its needs to be like the good old days where u on ur own, not too less ammo and where a zombie attacks u two times u die (resi 1) that was awful, I want it to be more like 2 about 4-5 attacks, over the shoulder, NOT IN AFRICA OR EUROPE get resident evil back to its roots and nick some ideas from dead space, make atmospheric aswell none of this pansy shit. thats my rant of resi over

None of these. I would like to see a new story with new characters started, because I feel that these have had their run and glory days enough as it is.
