I'll join you behind that shield. Twice i've started to play F3, twice i've failed to last more than 10-12hours into it.
The start is excellent, but it quickly becomes boring fighting the same super mutants and bandits.... and the pipboy is horrid to use.

Final Fantasy VII is the first one I can think of. After all the bloody hype surrounding it, it was just very.. Meh. Nothing hooked me.
Persona 3 was another one like that, though it was more the terrible VA and the highschool thing that put me off, plus a few things with the battle system.
I think there's another few.. But I can't remember them. Guh.

Silent Hill: Homecoming...just...just..no. I'll never even bother with the series again unless I see some pretty good reviews, what I hear of Shattered Memories isn't helping. I has a sad.
I rented Oblivion once, strongly disliked it. Borrowed Call of Duty World at War off my cousin, got sick of it very soon although I want to finish it lately. I also borrowed Metal Gear Solid 2 off my godbrother and haven't got very far in it. But since I am now in possession of all four Metal Gear Solid games, I will finish them all in a row these holidays.
