5th, since the N64 was my first console and I loved it so much that I'm now a Nintendo fanboy for the rest of my days.

I dunno, I like this current gen the best, and I've been around for all of them.

G1 Transformers were the best, off topic maybe, but true.

I would have to say the 5th. Sony PlayStation, Nintendo 64 and Saga Saturn all had great games that probably took the biggest step towards the greatest gaming experience.

You could say this gen is better because of all the new technology but I never had more fun than the 5th generation of games and 6th cause I loved Melee.

This one. It's just technologically superiour. That means it's better than the rest.

Except Nintendo. F**k you, the Wii.
a machine can be a nazi and butt rape people yet be technologically superior, does that make it good? hell no.
I'm farily sure my consoles are not Anal-raping Nazi-bot.

It's just as technology advances, games are capable of more things. I find newer games to be more fun than their older versions. I am immune to Nostalgia.

But I hate the Wii. A lot.
I'm immune to nostalgia too, that's why I'm not playing a game made over 5years ago this second.

Just because I might think the NES was the best era doesn't mean I want to go back, actually quite the opposite...I was there, I had my time and now I want to play my PS3/Xbox360 or PC that supports DirectX10...0o

3rd generation.

'cause it's where the NES brought the gaming industry back to America and changed hardcore gaming forever. thanks to Nintendo's R.O.B trick they pulled.

good times indeed.

Current gen.
Bringing online gaming to the consoles is a huge leap. Not only for the muliplayer, but also for the option of getting additional content, which was pretty impossible when they we're solely off-line.

I am amazed that the poll is not filled with 3rd and 5th generation rivalry right now. I personally am torn. I loved the franchises from the 3rd generation, but the 5th had my beloved N64 (which I actually was gifted games for this Christmas from my buddy). Anyway... back to Starfox 64.

I'd say 5th gen as that era was truly remarkable and not just in the terms of technology but it made gaming cool and brought gaming to the masses thus ensuring the industry would go from strength to strength and become what it has today.
