Poll: The Half Life Orange Box. Is it worth getting?

That's not even a question. The Orange Box should be a cornerstone in any gamer's library. All three (or five, including Half-Life 2 and Episode 1) games are better than any current FPS. You heard me. It's easily better than Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Modern Warfare 2.

And those "aged graphics" you were talking about? Let me introduce you to the Source engine, which has managed to hold its own against modern FPSs despite being six years old. And the Team Fortress 2 graphics are absolutely gorgeous (like something out of a twisted Pixar film).

10-freaking-dollars! That is just insane!! 5 games for 10 bucks I never thought I would see the day when a deal like that would pop up!

For PS3, 360 or PC? PC would be a definite yes, 360 would depend on if you have Xbox Live Gold as you're missing out on Team Fortress 2 without it, and the nature of the games is poorly suited to the controller, PS3 version is buggy and not worth getting.

I'm very happy for the "Why haven't you already got it you fool??" option, as that is almost exactly what I was thinking when I opened this thread.

Half Life is such a monumental and amazing video game, it alone means I will never part with my copy of the orange box.

Portal is fun, and it looks like the improvements in the second game will make it well worth buying. Playing the first is therefore highly encouraged.

I have my copy on the Xbox 360, and while I'm holding onto blind hope that Valve will release an update for it after the engineer update, or that Valve might include a fully updated version for consoles with Portal 2, Team Fortress 2 is an immensely fun multiplayer game. I can't always find great matches, but it's certainly worth playing.

The Orange Box is worth buying for any one of the items in it. That includes either of the Half-life episodes. All five is a steal. If you haven't bought at least seven copies (in case you lose six), you need to take a trip to the store.

Personally I didn't like it, but everyone else in the world does, so you probably should.
