"There's a lot of it, but there's good stuff as well". Uhhh...excuse me? This implies Porn isn't good. I formally request you change that.The_root_of_all_evil said:So, purely on a Escapist view point, how much of the Internet is for Porn?
So that's only two things, then?Mackheath said:Well, the Internet revolves on three things; opinions, stupidity and porn.
I formally deny the request on the basis that a lot of porn is atrocious. I mean, where's the storyline? Why is that woman still in her nightie? Where's that music coming from?crudus said:"There's a lot of it, but there's good stuff as well". Uhhh...excuse me? This implies Porn isn't good. I formally request you change that.

Seriously, have you ever seen some and thought "Wow. This is some tasty porn"?Evil Earlgrey said:"There's a lot of it, but there's good stuff as well"
So you think that porn is NOT good stuff then? I object you honor!![]()
It definately is not even close to as high as 30%. According to Alexa the first Porn site comes in at 42nd place for internet traffic and only 10 porn sites come in the top 1000.Sporky111 said:1.1% is bullshit. I can say that confidently, because when I turn off safe-search there is MUCH more than 1.1% of pictures showing pornography.
I don't remember where it was from, but I heard from another study that 30% of the internet was made up of pornography of some sort. And I believe that that is a reasonable number. Even if it isn't proven, I still plan to use 30% as a rule of thumb.
It is there. You typically have to pay for the storyline though.The_root_of_all_evil said:I formally deny the request on the basis that a lot of porn is atrocious. I mean, where's the storyline? But I'm not talking about traffic. I agree, if they had been talking about internet traffic, I'd believe 1.1%. However, I'm talking about volume of porn sites. For me, it means that for every 100 pages, or every 100 images, on the internet 30 of them are porn.Amphoteric said:It definately is not even close to as high as 30%.
