If you've ever played Knights of the Old Republic (either one) - did you embrace the dark side, or did you bask in the light?

Feel free to add comments as to why you chose said side, your experiences, how your choice reflects you as a person etc.

I personally revel in playing a "dark side" character, because I favour the aggressive playstyle and because it feels as if you're playing on god-mode.

I played dark side. You were the ultimate bad ass in the universe... As opposed to that guy that can use sunshine and sparkles to make people fall over.

I pretty much always chose the Dark Side. It's simply cooler. It really is great to have a face that "looks like the back end of a Dewback"
Fixed that.

You get attribute bonuses for having max light/dark so neutral makes no sense.

I'm willing to be ugly if I get ultimate power.
And I do.

Anyway, Neutral means you can use both sides without a penalty.
The penalty's only like what, 5 force points, usually? That's nothing, especially by the end of the game.

EDIT:plus, you don't get the bonuses toward using powers of your alignment.

Dark side all the way, murder, lying, and stealing are always easier than being a goody two shoes ***** who kisses the ass of anyone he meets.

I always go light. I just can't stomach the bad endings and what I must do to get there.
I know! I can't either! I just can't play an evil guy.
You know in Mass Effect, when you can shoot the secretary? I was playing as a renegade, and after that I couldn't continue. I didn't even like my character that I made. I just couldn't play that way anymore.

I stayed to the light on one play through then went dark on another.

Being nutral is always good as you can alternate your options how you would and not try to be one or the other.

I did the same in Fallout 3, after blowing up Megaton, I sort of looked at my character like "Who are you?!" and made a new file.

I normally start off playing the Light Side SINCE I HAVE MORALS :D
It gets boring after a while, so I just start a new game then go Dark Side. Either way I still choose the cool powers, like choking people and putting 10,000 volts through their bodies. Dark side has the most bitchin force powers.

A light jedi is better characterized since making a good dark one requires you to be retardedly evil in every conversation in order to stack alignment points. I like my villains with some subtlety.

Lack of light side points isn't as big a deal since destroy droid is really the only useful force power you get from light alignment.

I played a light side consular character once with such high wisdom he used maxed out force lightning at every opportunity. This is not to mention the "Force Wave works on Malak, and can be used while wearing armor" hilarity.
