Woah old boy! You're attacking him for something he didn't say. He never suggested that role-playing was pathetic, you're the one who brought that up.DigitalSushi said:In any game I play I holster my weapon whenever I can, if I'm given the choice then I will holster my weapon, it does aid in the immersion you have a choice, also if I'm in the proximity of innocents I will holster my weapon, because you wouldn't do that in real life since it would be rude and threatening.RagTagBand said:At what point is holstering your weapon a useful thing? You're either in a combat situation, so you'd have to be stupid to holster your weapon, or you're not in a combat situation, in which case you don't need to have your weapon drawn.
Why is this a thing? Are people that pathetic? Oh wait. Yes, Yes you are. Clearly. Undeniably.
Being able to holster your weapon isn't beneficial, it doesn't aid immersion, this shouldn't be a thing.
When I play Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver I go to great length to not hurt humans
When I play MGS I use the tranqs
If a game gives me the choice I will put my weapon away, its my choice, call me pathetic for pressing a button... don't call me pathetic for having discipline and a willingness to be humane even when I roleplay.
Its my roleplay, its my play style, deal with it.
He was just saying that it is going a bit far to suggest that lacking a button to holster your guns is some terrible crime that should be rectified immediately. Lets face us it, it really isn't that much of a big deal.
