Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys. Definitely worth it, before that it was Led Zeppelin IV.

The way I see it is torrents or downloads are fine sometimes, certainly if a band is big enough it isn't hard to find their albums on the net and in doing so you give them more incentive to tour which is great revenue for the band since they're maybe not selling as many albums and its fun for the fans, but certainly great bands from the past and current independent bands could use the album sales and it gets their word out (for example: when you're lending or suggesting to friends. That said the last 3 albums I bought, funnily enough all Canadian indie bands are as follows:

I haven't listened to this one all that much but so far it's worth it.

I love this album, imagine if Corgan did up-tempo folk, drums are wicked on this one.

Interesting concept-esque album from a pop-folk band.

Got Søens Folk by Analogik, excelent record. It's modern, electronic maritime music. There are elements of reggae, ska, folk, tango and many other genres all mixed together in a wonderful dub-sauce. Heartily recommended.

The day before that I bought Death Magic Doom by Candlemass. I knew the record pretty well beforehand, so I wasn't surprised to find that it was some gutcrushingly heavy doom metal with godlike vocals. I love every Candlemass album and this is no exception.

The last full album I got was The Golden Age of Grotesque. It was probably one of Manson's best.
The last song I got from iTunes was Ice Ice Baby. GOD, that song is ridiculous. :)

Atmosphere- When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold

It's a bit of a departure, I don't usually like hip hop but listen to it!
Possibly the most chilled out thing on the face of the earth, even colder than Bobby Kotick's heart, and also has some amazing (and depressing) lyrics.

Bought Appeal to Reason by Rise Against like.... five hours ago on iTunes. That way I can keep my concience clear. Also I don't want to be attacked by the music monkeys armed with sun-glasses and a gun shaped like a banana.

Appeal to Reason by Rise Against.

Well worth the money.

Re-Education (Through Labor), Hero of War and Savior are three of my favorite songs.

Sufjan Stevens- Come On Feel The Illinoise!

I'd have to say it was my best purchase in a long while and I kind of bought it on a whim anyways. Needless to say the album blew me away it was the only thing I listened to for like a week.
