Poll: The 'Let's Play' phenomenon and the future of your purchases

I tend to watch Lets plays of games im not interested in if that changes i stopp watching until i've beaten the game myself. For example I haven't cleared a Silent hill game since the 3rd gamer so I just Watch Lotus Prince's LPs of the game after that point in order to get any story I missed out on w/o having to deal with the game directly.

I don't watch LP's for games I plan to play in the future. If I just want the story, I read it online. I prefer to watch LP's of games I've already played, so I can get the LP-er's opinions and perspective on the game. I'm especially fond of Pokemon LP's, so I can compare my team choices to that of the LP-er.

I only watch 2 lets play series.

I watch spoiler warning because I like the insight the guys give into the games. They're mostly games I've played myself, so it's interesting to see their take on things.

And game grumps. Because sometimes I only have 10 minutes free and watching those 2 makes me laugh.

I don't think I'd enjoy a lets play as much had I not played myself, since I'd get annoyed at everyone talking over the story.
