Poll: The most Bad-ass gaming character

Alex Mercer, definitely. He can mutate his skin into bulletproof armor, can slam spikes out of the ground from a few blocks away, and can glide through the air. Kratos could stand up to that, but Mercer has has that vicious blade (which seems to be Kratos' one weakness--getting stabbed--it might not be permanent, but it's at least a temporary reprieve).

Out of the choices, I'm going with Kratos. He had women at his beck and call. He could rip a man violently in two, then use those parts as weapons. He tamed Pegasus, and killed Ares after accidentally killing his family.

The boy's been through a lot and he needs therapy. His therapy is a recipe for destruction. What more could you need?

Lets face it - as cool as these characters all are, Duke Nukem knows that he's badass, and he flaunts it. He runs around saying exactly what you - the player - are thinking when you blast an alien into bits. He knows that he's got the guns, and he knows that he's got the girls. And he's not above shouting, "Look at me, I've got the guns and the girls and if you say otherwise I'll blow you up." Let's face it - any character that can say "There are only two ways this can end and in both of them, you die." Is obviously the biggest baddest ass of them all.

Regal Bryant from Tales of Symphonia. He fights using only his feet because he took an oath to never use his hands in battle again. At one point, he DOES use his (manacled) hands to break open a prison door with the greatest of ease. If he used them in battle, he would be the most powerful party member in the game... and even as it is, he still kicks ass.
