I think it's generic terrorist man, but I am not sure.

Terrorists and Counter-Terrorists.

Rather evenly, I'd assume.
This is likely correct, given the massive populairty of Counter-Strike in years past. Several MW skins belong to one of these two groups as well.

Also, belated support to everyone who mentioned zombies. Remember, the L4D games are not only widely played, but produce hugley lop-sided kill ratios with standard zoms going down like spiders under a lawnmower. Ditto the popular zombie modes in recent COD games by Treyarch.

Considering my group tends to kill several thousand zombies every L4D2 run and that's not even counting all the countless other games with zombies/zombie substitute (headcrab zombie's and such) i'd have to say Zombies.

Pre-2008 it was definitely our friends from the NSDAP, however after Horde in Gears 2, and Firefight in ODST and Reach, the scale has most definitely tipped towards aliens

Of all time? Aliens or zombies.

Then again, I dare to doubt the enemy soldier that stands near an explosive barrel 90% of the game.

Uhh, excuse me, but where are the wasteland raiders? There are more raiders and ganger types in the Fallout world than all your other things combined. They sprout like mushrooms and that...is without even RAIN involved.

I've killed so many more of these guys than I have anything else. They're EVERYWHERE. Their death toll, courtesy of me, is probably up near a thousand by now, at least - the biggest contributor probably being ODST Firefight.

Were this all game genres, and not just FPS games, several more enemies would qualify:

Taiidan Interceptors

Geth

Men-at-arms

REBEL SCUM (but Battlefront 2 is a TPS, at least for me...)

Wolfenstein 3D had Nazis, Doom had zombies/demons/aliens, Duke Nukem 3D had aliens, Hexen, Heretic & Shadow Warrior probably didn't make up all that much and I'm not sure what would fit for them anyway, Quake & Unreal had aliens, Half Life had aliens, Halo had aliens, Aliens have a pretty damn strong lead throughout over 20 years, even with CoD being popular I don't think it can overtake Doom, Quake, Unreal, Half Life and Halo.

A tie between aliens (Duke Nukem series, Quake 1, 2 and 4, Prey, many others) or Demons (Doom 1 - 3, lots of time spent replaying the first and second).

Yeah really, or are we just supposed to assume that Nazi and zombies fall under the same category?
Is that a political extrapolation, or a vidoegame one?
Well it stems from a discussion my friends and i had some time ago. Mainly we just could understand why all the non blond, blue eyed Germans were doing anything as they would have to be eliminated as part of the master plan. Then some one suggested that they could be brought back as zombies, because that way they would no longer be living, thus exploiting the obvious loop hole.
I see! Forgive me, but that sounds like the prologue the the Hellsing Manga...

You think that is odd, try being the person who thought of that, before they saw the manga. Mind blown every where.
