And seeing as I listened to an even more annoying version, when it's just a 2 second loop of her saying "HEY! LISTEN!" over and over again, I obviously won
(Which incidentally starts to sound like "Heil! Heilhitler!" after a while)

No, you just want to make it sound like you won. You were at least over 10 minutes when I started.

am i the ONLY person that navi DIDN"T annoy the fuck out of when i played Zelda 64... then again, if you just appease her, and take the time to hit the yellow navi button she tends to leave you the fuck alone.

Agreed. When I played OoT the first time, I didn't know it was supposed it be annoying, and therefore, it didn't annoy me. I actually listened to the advice, and it helped. When ever I heard a "Hey look Listen" I knew Navi Knew something I didn't know. I associate this with good times, actually.

I don't find these things torturous, or even annoying, just boring.

Navi really isn't as bad as everyone makes her out to be, you want annoying? Listen to her at a really high pitch while playing it 2x faster. Seriously, try it.
